Sophia’s POV
I woke up lying in a hospital bed. I had Kane on one side and Xander on the other. They were both sound asleep and looked like hell. I wanted to wake Kane to see how he was, but he needs his rest.
“Stella, how long have we been out?”
“Two days. You used all of our energy when you healed Kane.”
“I am sorry. I didn’t mean to. We just had to save him. He looked so bad. He had lost so much blood and was as white as a ghost.”
“Girl, I never said I was mad about it.”
I rolled over so my back was to Xander. I was so mad at him; I couldn’t even look at him. He is keeping something from me and, whatever this stupid mission is, Kane has almost got killed.
