Catherine’s POV
“Mummy!” Leo's voice rang from behind us, as Alessandro and I walked to the parking lot.
I felt an immense swell of happiness within me as I spun towards the direction of his voice, and saw the twins running up to me.
Crouching, I opened my arms wide and grinned at them. “My babies.”
As they launched themselves into my arms, I pressed kisses to their respective foreheads, then inhaled lungfuls of their soft hair.
I had missed the soft smell of their baby shampoo.
“I missed you so much, my loves.” I said, rubbing circles on their back. “I'm so happy to see you again.”
“We missed you, mummy,” They chorused. “And daddy too.”
Only then did I remember that Alessandro was probably waiting for us.
