Zee The night was peaceful, the stars scattered like tiny sparks across the sky I sat curled up on the balcony rail, knees tucked against my chest, staring at the waves crashing hard against the cliffs below. The wind brushed against my face, cool and soft, tangling strands of my hair. Denver sat behind me in one of the wide lounge chairs, his long legs stretched out, a beer dangling loosely from his hand. He’d been quiet for a while, his silence heavy, just… watching me. I smiled faintly, resting my chin on my knees.
