chapter 7: Red Eyed Maniac

“ firstly, we'll go to the administrative office to get your student ID ” Kyle said as he led the way.

along the way, Adura still noticed that when students looked at her, their eyes never seemed to leave her

“ uhhm.. Kyle, is there a reason why everyone is staring at me ” she asked while trying to lower her voice as much a possible

“ so you don't know.. ” Kyle asked with surprise.

“ know what ” Adura asked,

“ Corvin is written in your uniform, meaning you are a Corvin, and Corvins are rare species. In this entire school, there are only 5 other Corvins apart from you ” Kyle explained.

“ really..” she asked. She subconsciously used her hair to try to cover her species name

“and how many students are in this school ” she added

“ there are about 4 million students in this school ” Kyle said bluntly as if 4 million was not a big deal.

“ ......... ” Adura was more than surprised, the population of this school had already surpassed that of some states in the human world.

Adura finally reached the administrative office after about 20 minutes of walking, she would have reached earlier but, Kyle took the chance to show her some places along the way.

« knock knock » Adura knocked on the big spooky looking door and to her surprise, it opened automatically.

Along with her student ID, Adura also got the schedule for all her classes.

“ uhhm Kyle, it says here on my student ID that I am at rank F, what does it mean” Adura asked Kyle on their way to her first class for the day.

“firstly, there are 7 ranks which are rank F, E, D, C, B, A, S when you first enroll in the school, you'll start from rank F, you can increase your rank by getting points ” Kyle explained

“ and how can I get these points ” Adura asked.

“ you can earn points by completing tasks put up on the task board ”

Kyle and Adura were so engrossed in their conversation that they failed to notice the person walking straight at them.

Adura bumped straight into him.

Due to the force of collision, she was about to fall on the ground but Kyle saved her just in time.

“ are you blind..” the person said, his voice was low but it was deep and commanding.

Adura looked up after steadying herself. The person she bumped into was a dark haired guy who was astonishing 7.8 feet tall.

He looked like a magnificent work of art, he had piercings on both ears, pink lips and cold blue eyes that flickered red with annoyance as he spoke to her. In short, he looked like your typical bad boy.

“ I'm sorry, I didn't see you there ” Adura said politely as she tried to pacify him.

“ am I that small that you can't see me ” he said as his eyes became colder and a darker shade of red.

“ n..no that's not what I meant, I wasn't paying attention ” she stuttered. The last thing she wanted was to get into trouble on her first day of school.

“ do I look stupid or what ” he said as a dark smirk made its way to his lips.

“.....” Adura did not know what to do anymore, this person was being unreasonable.

“ uhmm.. Damian, please c.. could you let this one slide, she's a new student ” Kyle who had been silent all this while finally stuttered, he was familiar with Damian's temper so he knew that it was best to try calm him down now or else this matter could escalate quickly.

“ and who do you think you are, do you think you can tell me what you do ” Damian said as he reached for Kyle's coller and lifted him off the ground with ease.

“ please Damian, as long as you let her go, you can do anything you want to me ” Kyle said as he tried to put on a brave face.

“ really.. ” Damian said slyly.

“ no, leave him alone ” Adura said as she pushed Damian with all her strength.

Damian was caught off guard, he wasn't expecting her to suddenly push him so he let go of Kyle and staggered two steps back.

Some passer-by students noticed the commotion and stopped to watch.

“ you dare lay a finger on me ” Damian said, he was pissed. His eyes became immediately bloodshot.

Adura could feel the hairs on her body stand , she felt multiple shivers run up and down her spine but she tried not to show it too much.

“ why are you being so unreasonable ” Adura managed to ask Damian without stuttering.

Everyone who was watching was stunned, nobody in the whole school dared to question Damian, not because of his family background, but because of his ruthlessness.

When Damian saw that she wanted to stand up for herself, an amused smile crawled to his lips.

“ because I can, and what are you going to do about it missy ” Damian said mockingly.

Adura instantly became angry, these were the kind of people she disliked the most.

Damian saw that she was angry and his smile grew wider. He then notice that her hair covered the left side of her chest so he could not see what species she belonged to.

He moved towards her and reached out his hands to her chest to remove her hair, but Adura misunderstood him. She thought he was a p*****t.

Her hand moved on its own and landed a heavy slap on Damian's face

“............ ” the entire place became silent.
