Except for the feel of rotten flesh brushing against his arm and the side of his face, nothing worse happened to Paul when he unwittingly ran into an oncoming horde of zombies. That was because multiple blasts of gunfire began to rain down from everywhere. In the momentary shock of not becoming zombie food, Paul’s vision was blurred and he could not see clearly who had come to rescue them.
He only felt someone grab him by the collar and shove him somewhere. He glanced up and saw Rahu. Before a pair of zombies could get to them, someone shot at them straight through the head. Rahu and Paul took the chance to run away and ended up entering the hospital lobby. As they entered, the doors shut, locking them in.
So Paul and Rahu, weak though armed, watched the c*****e outside.
