I snatched the floating shield from the air and unsummoned its power. At first, I did not know if it would work, but thankfully, it did. The glow of the shield died down as it shrunk back to its dinner plate- like size. Michael offered to carry it for me. Having my hands occupied with holding the Angel's sword, I took Michael's offer and handed him the golden plate. As soon as the Angelic armament left my touch, its golden color faded away. The shield's bright hue dulled into a bleak shade of gray. "We should get going now," said Michael as he secured the shield around his waist, looping his weapons belt into the strap of the now- gray plate.
