Darkness.
There was only darkness. A profound absence of light. And I was in the middle of it, floating like a lost man in an ocean of cold and dark water. It was strange as my body was numb. I couldn't feel my arms nor my legs even as I flapped them about, desperate to get a hold of something. I wasn't drowning, nor was I falling. I was just there. Lost. Alone.
"Andy," I muttered under my cold breath, a small cloud of frozen air puffing out of my mouth. "Andrea, where are you?" A chilling shiver ran freely up and down my vertebrae as I swept my gaze through the void. My eyes were open, but they were unseeing. Panic ran its course through me as I kept shouting at the void. "Andrea! Where are you?"
