FAILED JUDGMENT
Grandmaster Elyon’s sumptuous living quarters were located on Torus-1 adjacent to the Serefim Presidium’s lavish offices, gymnasium and dining hall. Elyon infrequently left Torus-1 and was rarely seen by the thousands of Domhanians employed at Ghrain-3.
The Grandmaster’s aloofness added to his carefully cultivated air of mystery and invincibility. He expected a certain kind of deference from the staff and Presidium members with whom he interacted. People stood when Elyon entered a room.
He had only a handful of personal relationships that weren’t predicated on some form of homage. Those few people could speak frankly, give candid advice, and tactfully tell Elyon when he was off-course, but only in private.
