A TALE OF THREE WORLDS
Egan and Althea began recording the deposition by retelling the stories they had shared over brunch the previous day. Then they launched into the next chapter of their extraterrestrial adventures.
Their second stopover with the Beag-Liath was an asteroid where ore extraction and smelting was done in near zero-gravity environments. The slaves were a dark skinned species, rather small in stature, with copious head hair and shallow eyes.
The Domhanian overlords only worked two hour shifts due to the health impact of long-term exposure to low gravity. Upon completion of a shift on the asteroid or in the ore processing vessel, they returned to the artificial gravity of the single torus revolving around the cargo cylinder of their main ship.
