DECEPTIONS AND THREATS
At the Nexo de Mando Hospital, Egan and Althea lay in bed dreading the visit they were sure was coming. They weren’t surprised when Agents Chelt and Dyer arrived before breakfast.
They felt certain the Anotas agents would try intimidation but believed it was unlikely the agents would actually use psychotropics. Althea and Egan decided to continue the wile of claiming lost and distorted memories. This strategy was not entirely a deception, given that they could not account for how sixty annum had passed during their time with the Beag-Liath.
