Drake rode slowly back home with Jamie seated beside him in the front seat.
"What's been going on in the shield?" Drake asked.
"Erin caught an arrow." Jamie replied and Drake rolled his eyes.
"What's the use? They can never give up any information about themselves even in death." Drake said.
"Mm. They are so loyal, sometimes I begin to think what if there is an arrow that can be good." Jamie said and Drake exhaled deeply.
"Same thing I've been thinking. We kill them without mercy but they also have a family. What if they are actually killing because we wouldn't stop killing them and reasoning with them." Drake added and silence fell for a while.
"I don't think it can ever be possible though. Their DNA was alternated, there's no saving them. Once they get petrified, they can only do one thing and that is to kill just to get satisfaction. Its a pleasure to them." Jamie said and Drake bit his lip. Suddenly, Drake turned the stirring wheel towards an opposite direction.
"What are you doing? That's not the way home." Jamie spoke.
"I don't know, I just feel I should be somewhere." Drake said and stepped on the acceleration.
"Drake! Are you crazy?!" Jamie exclaimed.
"We'll soon get there, I can feel it." Drake said and just as he took the next turn, he hurriedly held the brakes.
Breathing fast, Jamie stared at him.
"Is it the force?" Jamie asked and Drake shook his head.
"No, its something different." He replied only to see something that laid on the road. "Wait here, I'll be right back." he added coming down from the car. He walked slowly to it only to realize it was a necklace. He picked it feeling he had seen it before. He then remembered he had seen it on Sian back when she was with Jackson. He stared around wondering how it fell off and how the chain became broken. Holding it tightly in his hands, he put it in his jacket pocket and he walked back to the car.
"What happened?" Jamie asked.
"Seems like an arrow visited this place, but what I don't understand is why I didn't feel the force from the arrow, it was something... something totally different." Drake said and Jamie could only look at him confused.
"I think you need to see Burke." Jamie said and Drake rolled his eyes. He didn't want to show him the necklace because he knew Jamie wouldn't understand. He immediately drove out speedily.

Sian opened her eyes slowly. Her vision was still blur and some voices calling her echoed in her ears.
"Sian? Sian!" She groaned holding her head as she felt her head ache badly.
"Sian, are you okay?" Lisa asked and she sat up.
"What happened?" Sian inquired rubbing her eyes.
"I should be the one asking you that Sian. You just walked in some minutes ago and you fainted."
"Walked in?"
"You came with your bicycle, you knocked on the door, and when I opened, you walked in without saying anything and suddenly fainted." Lisa elaborated. Sian stared at the empty space unable to understand anything. She couldn't remember walking all by herself to the house. All she could remember was her seeing something strange on the road and as a result fell from her bike.
"You okay?" Lisa asked again seeing she was lost in her thoughts.
"Yes, I'm ... um... I guess I just felt a little dizzy. I just need to rest." Sian responded standing up and walking up the stairs.
Could it be an imagination? Sian thought as she walked into her room. She checked her body but she couldn't see any injury. She just couldn't understand anything anymore. To her, the last few minutes was like a black out. She sat on her bed perplexed.

Drake walked into the house only to see his mom with a reporter seated on the sofa.
"The reason for I and my husband's great success in business is all because of my family's love and support. I love my kids so much especially Drake. I know till now his birth is still a mystery to you all but I'm not less prouder for who my son has grown up to become." She said with the reporter videoing. Drake rolled his eyes in disgust, there was his mother, lying as she always does. Just as he was about to walk out, he paused staring at his mother again who was smiling wildly before the camera. All his life, he just wanted love from his mother yet nothing he did was ever worthy. All he wanted was for her to hug him, assure him that he did better than she ever expected, make him feel important. With his kind of thoughts, he walked to his mother and hugged her tightly. She wanted to push him away but with the reporter seated before her, she smiled in pretence wrapping her hands around him.
"What's wrong? Are you okay Drake?" She asked and he shook his head sniffing.
"I love you mom." He spoke.
"Have you done something wrong now?" She questioned and laughed softly.
"I am before the camera, so, go take a rest." She said and he moved away from her walking upstairs but he could still hear her voice speak.
"He is too emotional, sometimes we get the idea that he is a weakling." She said and laughed. Only those that understood knew that she meant what she said.
Drake squeezed his hands angrily as he walked into his room and fell on his bed. He rubbed his face in attempt to clean off the tears that formed in his eyes, then he brought out the necklace in his jacket staring at it for a while. Closing his eyes for a while, he communicated through his mind.
"Where are you Casey?"
He laid on his bed facing the ceiling only to feel her presence and he put back the necklace in his pocket.
"You left without a word." He said sitting up.
"I had things to take care of." Casey responded.
"Go and inform Emily, I sensed an arrow by the way to the school. We have to make sure none of them comes back to hurt anyone." He said and she stared at his palm.
"You haven't treated that yet." She spoke and he stared at his hand. He had forgotten that he had injured himself.
"Don't worry, I'll take care of it." He said and she sat beside him.
"Is something wrong?" She asked and he scoffed.
"Has anything ever been right?" He questioned in response.
"I'm afraid you were wrong Casey, its never going to be okay. Things can never get good for me." He said and she hugged him. He sniffed wrapping his hand around her.
"Thank you for always being by my side." He added.

In the night,
A girl and a guy is seen walking together. With their hands clasped together, they talked and laughed with their voices echoing softly in the silent night. Not until his phone rang and he exhaled deeply.
"She's calling again. You have to go this time." The girl spoke and he turned to her.
"But I can't let you walk alone down that lonely and creepy road." He said and she chuckled.
"You're making it seem so terrifying. I can walk alone, don't worry about me." She assured and he gave her a look like he wasn't still convinced.
"I've been going down that road for years now and no ghost has jumped out of nowhere to abduct me Henry." She said and he laughed softly.
"Okay, if you insist. Call me when you get home." He said rubbing her cheeks softly and she smiled nodding. As he was about to kiss her, a man suddenly hit her while walking past them.
"Hey! Can't you watch your way?!" She exclaimed to the man who wore a hoodie covering the whole of his face with an eerie aura surrounding him.
"Doesn't your manners teach you to apologise huh?" She yelled at the man when he tried to still walk away, and Henry held her so she could keep calm.
"That's enough, just let it go." He said noticing the suspicious stare the man threw at her.
"But he just hit me."
"Its fine Glen." He persisted as the man walked out.
"I love you." He said to take away her attention and she grinned.
"I love you too." She answered and he placed a quick kiss on her lips.
"Good night." She wished and walked towards an opposite direction.
She walked in the silent and almost dark street pressing her phone. She giggled as she started chatting with her friends. Suddenly she paused when she heard noise behind her. She turned back but didn't see anything. She continued walking further when she heard another noise. She turned again and this time with a little fear.
"Who is there?" She inquired only to see a cat walk across the street. She took a deep breath walking further but this time she felt a force push her and she hit the wall. She groaned looking up only to see the same man who had hit her earlier.
"Who are you? Why are you following me?" She questioned still in pains as blood dripped down her nose and he walked closer to where there was a little light and he revealed his face. His face were red with visible veins all over, and his eyes coloured gold as claws grew from his hand. Fear gripped her as she saw this and she immediately started running away.
"Help! Help me!" She exclaimed hearing his footsteps running behind her. Before she knew it, she found herself in the woods away from her environment and he immediately pushed her to a tree holding her neck tightly.
"It's death time." He said and she gasped crying.
"Please let me go. Please." She begged already losing her breath. Just as he wanted to stab her with his claws, she screamed and the rustling of trees were heard. Next, he was kicked and he rolled away from her. Glen looked up only to see another man but she couldn't see his face. She shivered staggering backwards. She watched the bloody fight ensue between them from behind the tree shivering in fright.
As soon as the being was killed by the unknown man, they found themselves back in her street. It was then realized that the woods was just a hallucinated picture. Turning, the unknown man revealed himself to be Drake. He saw Glen on the floor who had already fallen unconscious as a result of fear and shock. Immediately Casey and Jamie teleported into the scene.
"It was an arrow." Drake spoke and they stared at the dead arrow at a corner of the road and turned to the unconscious Glen.
"We also caught an arrow downtown. They seem to be out to kill this time." Jamie said.
"I have to go now before the shield finds out. Take care of the rest." Drake said and ran fast out of the scene that he wasn't seen again.
In the morning,
Sian yawned raising her head from the table as the rays of the sun pierced through the curtains. Looking around, she realized she had slept on her table while typing the book, arrow shield on her computer.
"Sian?" She immediately heard her mom call and she hurriedly hid the book under her bed. Just then, the door opened.
"What's wrong?" Lisa asked seeing how weird she stood and Sian smiled foolishly.
"I had a weird dream." Sian said and Lisa rolled her eyes.
"Its school time now." She said leaving and Sian took a deep breath.
Glen walked downstairs to see her mom setting breakfast. She held her head feeling her head ache so badly.
"I had a terrific dream." Glen said sitting on the dinning table.
"I dreamt when a strange being almost killed me." She added and her mother stared at her.
"Seems like you had a lot to drink last night." She said and Glen paused.
"Last night...." She tried to remember what actually happened last night. The only thing she could remember was her walking together with Henry and they went their separate ways. How then did she get home? She thought. Was what she was thinking was a dream happen in reality? It felt so real to her. She became confused. Immediately her mother walked closer to her staring at her neck.
"What happened? You have marks on your neck like somebody almost strangled you." She said and Glen touched her neck. She felt fear grip her as the whole incident flashed back in her mind.
"It actually happened." Glen muttered.
"What happened?"
"How did I get home?" Glen asked.
"You walked in yourself like you were hypnotized. You didn't say anything, you just walked into your room and slept off. I and your dad just thought you were too tired to talk." She responded and Glen held her chair tightly.
"Where is dad?" Glen asked.
"He went off to work early." Her mom replied and she immediately grabbed her bag.
"I have to go." Glen said rushing out.
"Hey! Where are you going?! You haven't eaten breakfast." She shouted after Glen but she didn't turn back.
Glen walked into the police station hurriedly.
"Where is my dad?" She asked one of the police officers who was close to her father.
"This is a station Glen, you know you can't be coming here often to meet your dad." He answered.
"Its really important. There are strange beings existing out there and they need to be found and killed." She said and he paused for a while.
"What strange beings?"
"I don't know... He attacked me last night. I was coming home and... and he was just stalking me and then when I noticed, he started chasing me. His eyes were colouring gold and his veins were pretty visible on his face." She explained in a rush that she couldn't make anything out of all she said. Immediately her dad walked in.
"It seems she is going nuts." The officer said and chuckled walking out.
"I'm telling the truth it really happened." She persisted and her dad sighed.
"What is it this time Glen?" He asked.
"You have to believe me dad. Some dangerous creatures exists out there. I saw one with my eyes last night." She stated.
"Okay that's enough now." He said checking the time. "Its past school time. Hurry off." He said and Glen rolled her eyes.
"You have to do something...."
"Glen! If this is another one of your strategy to miss school, it ends now." He said and she paused nodding.
"Even I don't understand anything of it." She muttered leaving and he sighed deeply watching her leave.
Sian sat on her seat when Leah immediately walked in. On seeing her, she walked out of the class. Of course everyone understood the whole drama, no one expected Sian to remain close with her anyway. That was the case of anyone that ever came in touch with Leah.
The rest of the day, everyone seemed to mind their business to avoid any more troubles.
It was sports time. The whole school seemed to be divided with students performing different activities. There was the drama team, the music class, the basket ball team which of course had cheer leaders and so on. Now seated alone, Sian felt off from everything. She sat by a corner watching the basketball team and the cheer leaders that she didn't notice someone sit beside her.
"Hey..." The girl called and Sian turned to her. "Why are you here?" She asked.
"Just trying to give myself some time." Sian answered.
"Same here, everyone seems to be waiting to see which team Drake will be in." She said and Sian smiled.
"He's lucky isn't he? Its easier to just have everyone love you without forcing it." She added.
"I know right? I never wanted to be here. My mom forced us to move to this city. Everything still feels so different." Sian replied.
"And your dad?" She asked and Sian paused for a while.
"He's dead." Sian said. "The same reason my mom wanted us to start afresh." Sian added.
"It was tough, wasn't it?" She asked and Sian smiled nodding slowly.
"My dad is a police officer. He comes home late everyday and my mom is always busy trying to make awareness for her business. Sometimes, she leaves the country for months and I'm left alone." She said and stared at Sian, then she smiled.
"I'm Glen Huck." She introduced.
"Sian Matthews."
"It seems you both are not friends anymore." Glen said staring at Leah who sat alone by the field.
"We were never friends. She was just the first person I talked to." Sian responded.
"There was a time I was like her. I preferred staying different from everyone else. I shut every single person out of my life by trying to act as scary as possible." Glen said and Sian cruised her eyebrows.
"Why?"
"My parents never thought I was good enough. My siblings did better, was all they ever said." Glen replied.
"I saw myself walking into depression and I couldn't stop it, not even when my patents tried to amend because they figured they were the cause of my situation. Leah might also have her reason for acting the way she does, who knows?" Glen said and Sian sighed.
"Everything seems a lot easier when we are kids. We see our parents as gods, never able to make any mistakes but when we grow, we tend to look behind our foolishness and before we know it everything's changed." Sian spoke and turned to Glen. "How did you get over your depression?" Sian asked.
"His name is Henry." Glen leaned closer to her and spoke, then she smiled and Sian chuckled.
"I started seeing a therapist and he told me to find something that makes me happy the most. To tell you the truth, I didn't know at that time what could make me happy, not until I met Henry. It was like he did some magic or something, then we became so close, not even our parents could prevent it." Glen explained and Sian stared at her.
"You remind me of Alex. She's a friend" Sian said.
"For now its all about Glen, who is also a friend starting from today." Glen said and Sian laughed softly.
"What team will you be in?" Glen asked.
”I don't know. My instincts will lead, it always does. " Sian said and Glen smiled.
"I joined the cheer leaders but it didn't really work out. You see those three demons there.." Glen said directing to the three girls in the field who stood as cheer leaders.
"Stephanie, Tracy and Nicole. They did all they could to get me out and they succeeded." Glen said and Sian chuckled only for her eyes to meet Drake who had just got in to play basketball. The cheer leaders suddenly felt effective as he started playing. All the girls now became so caring to get towel and drink for him. It seemed like everyone's attention was all on him.
"I know what you're thinking." Glen said and Sian stared at her.
"You're wondering why all handsome guys both in movies and real life gets to be in the basketball team looking so alluring." Glen said and Sian laughed. It was true though, Sian thought.
"It seems you got into some kind of trouble." Sian said and Glen looked up only to see their history teacher, Mrs Murphy beckoning on her.
"Oh no, I missed her assignment." Glen muttered.
"We'll catch up later." Glen said leaving.
As soon as Glen left, Sian decided to walk around. Walking around, she passed the music class where they were performing the classical, then she came across the drama class. She peeped through the door as she watched a girl perform on stage with all pride. She smiled, remembering how she always acted as a princess when she was a kid with her father sitting as the audience. No matter what she acted, he never once objected her acting skills.
"Why are you staring from outside?" She shivered hearing a voice whisper behind her only to discover it was Jamie.
"You scared me." She muttered.
"Just thought you were peeping because they were sharing fries." He said and she scoffed.
"I... I was just loving the performance." She replied.
"Then why watch from outside."
"Um...."
"You scared?" Jamie asked and she shook her head.
"You know what, let's go in together." He said holding her hands and he pushed the door open before she could say anything, attracting the attention of everyone in the room. Everyone's gaze fell on how they held hands as they wondered how the new transfer student got so familiar with him.
"Hi Mrs Mary." Jamie greeted the drama director as he sat down with Sian and she smiled.
"We are glad you joined us Jamie." Mary spoke and Jamie smiled childishly.
"I brought a friend with me. She is Sian Matthews." He said. Sian's eyes shone wondering how he knew her full name.
"I'm very observant." Jamie replied to her thoughts and she smiled. Meanwhile, Drake stood by the door looking at Sian. Once again, he was directed to her. He couldn't understand why his feet always led him to where she was. It had drawn him to her again. He could only wonder what she possessed.
The girl who had appeared before Sian and had caused her accident when she was riding the bicycle back home is seen again walking into a dark corner where she saw a man who was huge but his face wasn't clearly seen.
"What took you so long?" He questioned.
"I found her but she disappeared again." She answered.
"How is that possible."
"I don't know, it feels like she hasn't discovered her powers yet."
"Get her no matter what. She is the key to accomplishing our purpose." He said and she nodded.
"For eternity." She immediately quoted.
"For eternity." He replied and she walked out.
