POV: Salvatore
"I suppose your trip was productive," I don't bother to look up from my laptop when I hear Eva's voice.
"It was, I got the land," I announce and out of the corner of my eye I see her take a seat in the chair in front of me.
"That's fantastic, but poor you for having to go with that boring woman."
I stop what I'm doing and lean back in my chair.
"Are you here for something specific, Eva?" She looks at me without understanding, "do you have any work to discuss with me?"
She remains silent for a few seconds, and I patiently wait for her to say something. This morning I left the villa early because I have a lot to do, «the last thing I want is another scene from her».
