Love Is Deadly

Chapter Seven

"Are you f*****g kidding me. Go find her you stupid f**k"! Noah screams and I flinch slightly.

"Forget I'll find her myself". He says angrily, hanging up the phone.

"Who was that"? I ask and he sighs.

"My sister's bastard of a boyfriend. He hit her and she ran off and he can't find her". He says driving out of the hospital parking lot, and turning onto the road.

"Oh I'm sorry". I mumble and Noah doesn't say anything.

Noah drops me off at my house and speeds off as soon as I get out of the car. I hope he's okay. I don't know him that well but he seems somewhat decent. He seems to really care for his sister.

I walk into the house and instantly smell weed and cigarettes.

"Josh. Why the hell does it smell like weed in here"! I yell and he comes downstairs holding his phone in one hand and a joint in the other.

"Where did you go"? He asks.

"To the hospital to see mom why"?

"Why did you leave with Noah then"?

"Why are you in my business? I went with Noah because my car isn't working". I say and he rolls his eyes.

"Why didn't you tell dad".

"Because he would flip just like how you're doing right now".

"Ava you need to stay away from Noah. He's dangerous".

"How Josh"?! I scream and he huffs.

"He's a murder alright"! Josh screams back and I stay quiet.

"What do you mean he's a murderer. You're just saying that. You don't even know him"! I argue back and before I say something else Josh interrupts me.

"Just never mind Ava. Forget I said anything". He then storms off to his room.

I try and ignore what just happened but I can't. How would Noah be a murderer? He couldn't be. He seems so sweet. Yes he can be arrogant and rude half the time but that doesn't mean he'll kill someone.

I go upstairs, lay down, and end up falling asleep for the rest of the day. I then wake up at 12:30 at night and check my texts and see missing calls from Noah. He's probably not awake but I decided to give him a call back and surprisingly he answers.

"Hello"? His deep voice rang through the phone.

"Hey I just woke up but what did you need"?

"Can you come over"?

"No, why what's up are you ok"?

No". he says, voice slightly soft.

"What happened"?

"My sister. She's Dead".
