Chapter 11Namir pushed Jinx out on the patio. If he couldn’t sleep, they should go for a stroll. It might not help him sleep, but it always helped Namir to feel a little more clear-headed. He slid around Jinx and waited. When nothing happened, he turned to look at him. Jinx shivered. “Right. We’re here. What do you want to do now?” Namir bumped his thigh. Shift, of course. It was cold to be outside in human skin. He waited but Jinx did nothing. “It’s cold.” Namir huffed, shoved at him again, and touched his paw to Jinx’s hand. “Shift?” Namir dipped his head in acknowledgment. “Okay, hang on.” He pulled one necklace after the other over his head, unclipped the many leather bracelets around his wrist, and hooked his thumbs in the waistband of his trunks.
