the day things went wrong

I thought my life was normal, fine until they came the hunters. Years ago some humans joined together because they believed that we were vile, creators of the devil, they have tried to kill us multiple times so we told them to stay on their own side of the kingdom or to leave and never come back.

Some of them left and others stood because of their families and my father always thought they would retaliate and attack so we had guards ready at all times, but today we let our guard down because we were practicing for tomorrow, for my coronation everyone was celebrating before i had to be responsible of the kingdom.

My parents led almost all of us through the tunnels under the castle so that we could survive. My parents said for the others to go to their homes and the other royals to go back to their kingdoms and stay safe. Except now I have to stay in hiding with my parents in this new place called Mystic Falls, I have to go back to school and act like a normal 17 year old human teenage girl which i'm not.

I don't have any of my things no books, no cloths nothing. My parents knew some people that used to live in Mystic Falls but they left to go live in L.A so my parents asked them that if anything goes wrong and we needed a place to stay that we could use the house. I went up to my room and looked around at what the girl had in her room. I packed up things that i didn't like or want, and put it in the attic. I walked over to the mirror and saw some pictures taped on it, i looked at one and saw her in the middle next to a girl and a guy on the beach. Another of a guy kissing her, i took down the photos and stuck them in the bottom left draw and locked it.

Later that day

Me and my mom came home after shopping to find that my dad wasn't home. I went to my room and started to put my new cloths away in my closet and draws. My mom got all of us a phones and me a laptop so I had to set my phone up and help my mom set hers up.

My dad came home about an hour after we did. "Elena come down stairs I have something for u" my dad said from down stairs. I got up off my bed and went down stairs. I went into the kitchen were my mom and dad were sitting at the island with a bag in front of them.

"what's in the bag?" I asked as a sat down with them. My dad started to unzip the bag and said "I got something for us" he flipped the bag over to reveal a lot of blood bags. "Oh my god dad where did u get these?" I asked as I grabbed one and started drinking it. He said " I know a person".

I thanked my dad for getting them and grabbed a few and went up to my room. I put them in my locked draw until I could buy a minifridge for my room. I locked the and went over to my laptop set it up and created accounts on social medias.

There is nothing to do in this house so I got dressed and went downstairs and yelled "i'm going out i'll see you guys later". I walked out put my headphones on and started walking to the grill. I walked in to the grill and saw a group of guys at one table laughing about something at another table was a group of cheerleaders. I walked over to the bar and unplugged my headphones and waited for the bartender to come my way, when he came over to me he said "what can I get for you?" I looked up at him from my phone and said " can I get a vodka tonic?" he looked at me and said " may I see some id mam?" I rolled my eyes then used my compulsion and said "you don't need to see id and that drink is on the house" he said "ok and your drink is on the house". I smiled at him and said "thank you".

I ordered some shots and took them. One of the guys from the group I saw earlier came up to me and said "hey". I turned to look at him and said "hey" he sat down next to me and said " are you new to town?"
