I felt someone nudging me awake, my eyes slowly opening as I raised my head and began looking around.
"Baby, your parents just landed. They are on their way now, Kristi just finished talking with them." Gage whispered, making me nod as I glanced up at my sister's sleeping face.
She looked pale and I couldn't help but feel that nagging guilt continuing to rise.
"Did the doctors say anything else?" I asked, making Gage pull up a seat beside me before bringing me to his chest and hugging me.
"It's the same as before, they are just waiting for her to wake up on her own..they said sometimes it can take hours for the anesthesia to wear off fully." He explained, prompting me to nod my head before hiding my face in his shirt and inhaling deeply.
