Chapter 11 His Dark Past

941 Words
"Thank you Mrs. Abby, he has been nice to me…" I lied as I looked at Blade who was trying to hide some strange emotion in his eyes. Jake smiled before looking at his son. "Blade, what is this that I hear, a few days before you canceled the agreement with Alpha Jett?" He asked while taking a seat in the single sofa there. "It's true." Blade blurted out. "I know it's true, I'm asking why?" "His son Scott Russo did something against me." Scott Russo? Did I hear this name before? A sense of familiarity. "And what would that be?" Jake continued asking. Blade swallowed and kept quiet. When Jake noticed Blade was not going to tell him the reason he sighed. "You are the Alpha. You should know the result of any decision you make. You canceled the agreement even though you know the relationship between Jett and me. So I believe it must be a very good reason right?" Blade frowned, "Yes, but stay out of it. You're not the Alpha anymore." Jake shook his head with a low sign, "That is not how to talk to your father young man!" "Blade watch your language!" Abby screamed. But he ignored it and continued, "So how am I supposed to talk to you? Have you ever done anything with my feelings in mind? No you won't. You'll stick to it even though you know it'll hurt me." "How could you become like this?" Blades suddenly stood up "DO YOU THINK I WANT TO BE LIKE THIS? I DON'T! Who makes me like this? You all forget it? Have you forgotten what you have done to me?" His blue eyes filled with anger before he walked to this strange door at the end of a hallway. I flinched when the door slammed. Abby started sobbing as she covered her face with her hands, while Jake stood up aside in silence. I stroked her back trying to calm her down. "Could you tell me what Blade experienced in the past?" I asked with a soft voice. Silence dominated for a while before Abby opened her mouth. "Blade was 15 when he experienced his first shift. His wolf was a strong black wolf but with dark power. At the time, Blade was sickly and unable to control his wolf, so his wolf often secretly forcing Blade to shift, then he went out to kill other werewolves to demand his blood desire. After the incident broke out, Jake discovered that the attack during that period was caused by his son. As Alpha, he must do something to stop the gossips." She paused with a frown, as if she didn't want to remember the past. I clenched her hands tighter, giving her some console to let her continue. "Seeing that Blade's situation was getting worse, Jack had to lock him in a silver cage for the pack safety. We'll know silver hurts the werewolf badly. During that time, Blade and his wolf wanted to go out, and they scratched the silver cage but the only things they've gained are wounds and scars all over the body. A few months later, Jake found a witch who is good at black magic. She cast a sleep spell on Blade's wolf, causing his wolf to be dormant since that day. Then Jake was relieved to release Blade from the cage. But Blade has changed, there is no light in his blue eyes. It can be said that since that day, only darkness left in Blade's world." Abby said as a tear escaped from her eyes rolling down her cheek. Seeing this, Jake came over and hugged his mate, "It's alright honey. Blade has found his mate. I believe Sapphire can help him." Abby looked at me sincerely. "You are his only hope Sapphire." Her eyes dazed away as if reliving a memory, "Did you know he used to pray to God for protection over his future mate? He would do that even after this incident. My Blade boy would talk about how he will cherish his mate and make her the diamond of his heart. I know my Blade is still in there somewhere, but you got the shovel sweetheart. Only you can dig him out of his grave." I felt my own heart begin to ache. I didn't like the Blade I saw, but I wanted to bring the one that I knew back. But I didn't know how "How do you know I can do that?" She gives me a knowing smile through her tears, "You're his Sap." My eyes widen so much that I think they're going to pop out. My jaw just hit the floor...literally. Oh my god she knew Sap? I hadn't been called that since that one day. "How do you know?" I asked breathlessly. Her eyes connected to the tattered leather string around my neck, "I'd know that necklace anywhere. It's a gift that I made for his 8th birthday. And Blade wouldn't stop talking about his Sap and how he gave his necklace to her and gave her his first kiss to seal their promise." I grabbed the sapphire necklace and tuck it under my shirt. "A promise he didn't keep," I whispered with a deep sadness. Abby cupped one side of my face and smiles, "That's what you think Sweetheart. Trust me. He hasn't given his heart to anyone, that's totally impossible." I frowned, "Why?" "Because he's already given his heart to a little girl he saw crying at a waterfall 11 years ago. He's got no heart because he placed his where it already belonged, in you."
