Ella’s POV
People were scrambling and screaming on the ground in front of where I stood. Most of them were shouting to the top of their lungs as they ran for their lives. The dark monster growled and snarled as it ravaged its way across the crowd.
Looking forward at it, I knew that Phoenix was probably badly hurt right now after what the creature had just done to him. But I knew I couldn’t let myself think about that. If I thought about him being hurt right now I would freeze. And I couldn’t afford to freeze… I had to fight for my pack.
Gathering all the courage I could find, I quickly removed my heels, throwing them to the side and standing on my two feet on the stage.
