The dinner with Phoenix’s parents had been a blast. I had no idea I would have such fun with his family tonight. I was so stoked about finally having met and connected so easily with his Mom.
After the meal was over at the dinner table, we all talked for like hours. His parents wanted to know literally everything about me. I really settled in and felt so free with them. I found myself telling them all kinds of stories about me and my family.
Phoenix’s Mom told me all about how crazy Phoenix was growing up. Hearing like a full recap of his life made me feel like I knew him so much better now.
After hours of our endless banter, his parents finally bid us goodnight and walked out of the living room, leaving my love and I still seated on our seats across from each other.
