Phoenix’s body was starting to grow cold. My heart was pounding hard against my chest as I held him in my arms. I was so scared for him. I looked at his wound on the left side of his neck and it was still oozing with blood.
It still hadn’t healed even now, minutes after he’d been bitten by Zane. Did Zane use some kind of demonic magic to bite him?
Just as my head continued spinning, I caught the thick scent of demons in the air all around us again. I then heard distant footsteps approaching us from the woods that surrounded us in every direction.
