Ella’s POV
I immediately looked away from Asher’s eyes. If I was going to do this, I would have to avoid those eyes. Because for starters, they looked exactly like Phoenix’s and I could very easily get lost in them like I always did.
I had to stay strong and just get this over with. Right now, I was literally crossing my fingers hoping that this would just go smoothly.
I smiled slightly as I looked over at where Suzie was seated.
“I see you two have already met each other,” I said, glancing at them both.
“Yeah. Wait… were we supposed to meet each other?” Asher said, looking at me again. My heart leapt slightly in my chest. This whole situation was making me so nervous my palms were literally sweating.
