Phoenix and I were walking towards the front doors of our Alpha mansion. I was so happy. I couldn’t believe we had just pulled that off. Zane and his men were all gone. I mean, our pack and our whole town wasn’t in danger anymore?
I felt like a whole freaking weight had been lifted off my shoulders after seeing what had just happened back there. Now I didn’t have to worry about anything. I felt free. I had also just announced to the whole pack back there that the lockdown was finally lifted.
They had all gone crazy when I said that. They were so happy. Most of them had just rushed right out of the packhouse gates to go to town or wherever. And no one could blame them. I mean, we had locked them down here at the packhouse for like days now.
