Ella’s POV
I was petrified to my core. A wave of fear washed across my body as I watched the dark monster running towards me. But for some weird reason, I felt relieved. I felt at ease that it hadn't hurt Phoenix. I mean, it was coming for me now, but at least it hadn’t touched him.
I couldn’t live with myself if anything had happened to him.
Suddenly, the creature jumped off the ground, flying up into the air and stretching its clawed hands forward headed for my face. I stumbled backwards away from it and then suddenly, I tripped on something on the ground.
I crushed down hard, falling on my back and immediately looking up at the dark thing in the air above me. It’s huge disgusting mouth was wide open, as it now descended down from through the air, headed towards where I lay.
