Ella’s POV
It was at the end of the school day. I had just walked out of my last class for today. I held two textbooks in my hands as I walked across the hallway headed to my locker.
Today had been such a freaking bore. Phoenix wasn’t in school. He’d texted me and told me that his parents gave him and his brother some pack errands to run so none of them would make it to school today.
I missed him so much. But I was also kinda glad that this had happened. It had saved me the trouble of bumping into Asher today. I hadn't even laid eyes on him since two days ago when I gave him that rejection and broke our bond.
