Ella’s POV
We were all in the living room of the Alpha mansion. Everybody’s face looked devastated by the tragedy that had struck our family this morning. The energy in the air here was sad, and mostly angry.
I was seated beside Phoenix on our favorite couch. Suzie was seated with the Oracle on the couch beside ours, while Asher was seated beside his Mom on a chair across from us.
Maia was still so broken down by the loss. Her face was swollen from all the crying. Asher was holding her as she leaned onto his shoulder where they sat together. Seeing her so broken tore me down. Especially considering the fact that I knew all this was my fault.
