"That has to be a joke right? I'm his mate, he can't get married to anyone else!" Laura's voice broke with tension as she spoke "Ex-mate! He broke the bond remember? Why are you still even worried about someone this heartless? You should focus on your future and raising your child if you ask me!" Patricia said, soon getting off from her seat. Her words sliced through Laura's heart creating deep wounds. But despite the pain, Laura could not help but notice the expression on Patricia's face Laura had never seen her this angry before since they became friends. Those words were too heavy for her to process. The Davis that she knew only loved her. There was no way that he would be getting married to someone else. There had to be an explanation to all of these and she needed to get it by any means possible. Maybe Patricia was saying all of that because she hated him. She had never liked the fact that she got into a fight with her parents because of it. That had to be the reason. Quickly, Laura got into the room, got herself and the baby dressed up, and got outside, she met Patricia's cold gaze. "And where would that be? I doubt you know anywhere from the few minutes you have been around?" "I should have a little cash on me to take me back to the blood moon. I need to see him myself and confirm that everything that you have said is true Patricia! And get his explanation!" "I'm your friend Laura! I stuck with you throughout the whole process. There's no way that I would lie to you for anything! He doesn't want you, anyone! The sooner you accept that the better.. And I'm not letting you out of this place with the child. Just think about it. What if something bad happens!" Patricia's words cut deep into Laura's heart, forcing her back in her steps. "You have lost too much already. And there's no point in losing more!" Patricia added. "You can't see him, Laura! At least not now. If you must see the cruel b***h, then you must by every means be thinking about getting yourself somewhere else!" Patricia's threat sounded real for the first time. Laura's eyes suddenly ran blank upon hearing these words. She didn't have anywhere to go if she was chased out by Patricia. Her eyes were walloped as she realized that she had to do what had been told to her. Laura stayed on the bed, restless throughout the night unable to sleep. The thought of having to see Davis weighs heavily on her mind. Staring at young David through the thick darkness that failed the small room, Laura smiled and muttered to herself. "I don't know her but tomorrow we are both seeing him!" She said, That morning, Laura woke up pretty early to try persuading Patricia again but she wasn't around. Laura searched through the house but she was nowhere to be found. It was so unlike her to wake up so early. Suddenly a thought popped into Laura's head. This was the perfect opportunity that she had always wanted. Quickly, she got herself and little David dressed. "Hang on buddy! We are about to go for a little ride!" She smiled. The ride to the Blood Moon pack wasn't necessarily a long one. Getting into the pack, posters were posted all over the place. Since most people didn't like her around that, Laura had a hoodie over her head to make sure no one recognized her. The pack was overly busy from the last time that he remembered. Though she had only been to this part of the pack for the first time in three years. Memories flooded through her head. The first time that she came, the mother of Davis wanted him to search for his long-lost mate but he wanted him, so much that he was ready to even turn against his people... Laura had never seen any Love that was so genuine and could not stop believing in it at the moment. Taking in a deep breath once again, she forged ahead into the pack house that was overly guarded by security men. "It's going to be difficult to see him this way!" Said Laura as she waited under the blazing sun just ahead of the packed house... She stood outside watching each person get into the pack house with their pass tickets. She could feel the heavy pain down her abdomen, resting her body on the roadside bench to support her weight as sweat dripped down from her face Just then, a car zoomed in, followed by a couple of other cars that followed it closely from being. Laura's eyes were duly fixed on the car as she watched her Davis coming off stylishly from the car. His cold blue eyes, perfectly chiseled face, and overly handsome looks forced his heart to fluster almost instantly. She wanted to reach out to him, grabbing quickly to his face. She ran over to him as soon as possible with the child still in her hands. Laura wanted to yell out his name, hoping that the guard would not be able to prevent her from seeing him this time. Just then, another lady in a wedding dress came off from the other car that was right behind, walked to the Alpha, and kissed him passionately on his lips. Alpha Davis kissed her back. Laura was sure of it even though her view wasn't the most perfect. Her heart suddenly froze. Laura pinched herself. The sight that was before her seemed to be fiction "This can't be true!" She was still taken aback in her steps as her breath flustered. Just then, the face of the lady was revealed to the full light and a thunder wave of shock ran through Laura's body. It was Clara, her maid. The b*tch that she had rescued from dying.
