Adrian was lost in thought when Vivian suddenly stood up after finding the decanter.
He quickly looked away, his intense gaze softening.
"How long should this wine breathe?" Vivian asked.
"Half an hour," Adrian replied as he stepped forward.
Vivian nodded, rinsed the decanter, and poured in a third of the wine.
With the preparations done, she went to the kitchen to bring out the food.
Given the earlier phone call, she felt more relaxed around Adrian tonight. "Do you want to wait for the wine to breathe, or eat now?"
Adrian rolled up his sleeves to his elbows. "Now. I'll wash my hands first."
He walked to the bathroom and soon returned, sitting down at the table.
Seeing the single serving of curry rice and cream of mushroom soup, he looked at Vivian. "Aren't you eating?"
