Chapter 7 - Something changed inside me.

RYAN P.O.V.

Fuck! Why the hell did Ana come between us to save that jerk? Why??

This thought kept ringing in my head. If only I had controlled my anger she would not have to suffer my blow. I was also angry at myself. But I got furious when I heard Scott calling Ana, 'sunshine'. I managed to control my feelings, as at that time Ana's health was more important to me.

Are they dating?

I thought to myself. I was still confused about this alien feeling inside me. I didn't like her when we first met but now it felt like something changed inside me. This mixed feeling of jealousy, anger and caring for her was new to me. I had never felt like this before. Maybe it's just my wolf. My wolf seemed to like her when we first met in the jungle the other day. Aunt Malia once told me that we can have contrasting feelings between our wolf side and our human side.

I shrugged off my shoulder and continued working on the Maserati to distract my thoughts but again seeing the Maserati reminded me of Ana whom I gave a punch a few hours ago. I didn't even get the chance to apologise to her. First, I thought she would give me a long lecture when she woke up but she chose silence. She was silent the whole ride to her house. I was missing her lecture and sarcasm. I was so engrossed in my thought that I didn't notice Lucas coming.

"Wow! Good job. Nobody could able to tell that it had been smashed." Lucas blurted out.

I didn't react and went inside to grab my jacket.

"Where are you going?" Lucas asked me when he saw me taking my bike keys.

"I am going to Ana," I replied and hopped onto my bike. Lucas followed me to my bike.

"Why?" He asked with concern.

"To ask for her forgiveness," I replied.

Lucas was standing there like he couldn't believe his ear.

"For her..what?" He spoke again but I ignored him and started my bike and drove away.

Ana's place was thirty minutes ride from the garage. I parked my bike in front of her house. Scott's car was not there which was a good sign for me as I could be able to talk to her in private.

"Did you forget some.....?" Ana's voice came as she opened the door but stopped as she saw me. I realized she was expecting Scott not me. She was shocked to find me at her doorstep.

"Can I come in?" I asked politely.

"No." She replied and started closing the door. I stopped the door with my right hand. "Wait, please!" I requested.

"What the hell do you want now... To punch me again.... Hunhh" She shouted.

"Please, just listen to me," I asked politely. But my politeness didn't affect her, she shut the door on my face anyway. I was so angry. Nobody ever shut a door to my face but I swallowed my anger. "Ana please." I requested again.

"Just go away I don't wanna talk to you." Ana's voice came from the other side of the door.

As I was turning away to go I heard Ana's scream. Her scream made my blood go cold. I felt my teeth tighten as I tore through the doorway and skidded to a stop in the hallway. Ana was pressed back against the wall of the kitchen, her face frozen in terror as she stared outside the kitchen window. I hurriedly went near her and put my hand on her shoulder making her jump. She looked at me and then looked outside the window. I looked in her direction and saw a bald guy with two men standing beside a car. They looked like members of a gang. The bald guy was talking on the phone and then he pointed toward Ana's house as he finished talking on the phone.

"Oh! My god. They are coming here." Ana said in a trembling voice.

"You knew them?" I asked.

She looked at me and then grabbed my hand. "Let's go through the back door. I will explain everything to you later." Ana replied. She dragged me towards the back door but I stopped in the middle. She looked at me annoyingly.

"I am not going anywhere until you tell me who are these guys and why are you so scared." I said.

She opened her mouth to say something but stopped as the unwanted guest made their entrance through the broken door. Ana looked at me angrily and then looked at the approaching guest with fear.

"There you are. I must tell you it was very hard to find you and your brother." The bald guy spoke with a witty smile on his face.

"Who are you ?" I asked. The guy who was constantly looking at Ana looked at me.

"There is nothing in knowing my name. The important thing to know about me is that..... I am a very dangerous man." The bald guy spoke. I was about to say something but was cut down by Ana.

"Please sir, go from here, my brother will be here soon. I promised I will return your money." Ana spoke.

"What money?" I asked her in confusion.

"I would have believed you if you hadn't run away from Rose Hills with my money. But now I want my money with full interest and if you don't then I must tell you it had been long days since my boys have been with a woman." The bald guy replied and then burst into laughter showing his yellow teeth. A rage inside me woke up as he finished talking. I grabbed him by the throat and lifted him.

"Ryan, behind you," Ana shouted.

I sent the bald man crashing to the ground at my feet as I faced the other man. He snarled and swung at me. I blocked his punch and landed my own against his chin. He crashed to the ground. Blood coming out of his mouth. The other guy pointed his gun at me. Before I could do anything, Ana hit him with the flower vase. The guy dropped his gun and crashed to the floor.

"Oh, my god. Are you ok? " Ana asked with a worried face."Yeah. And you?" I asked checking her for any signs of injuries.

"What would happen to me? You are the one who did all the fighting." She replied with a chuckled.

"We have to take them to the hospital before Ben and Scott arrived."

"Seriously, you want to take them to the hospital after what they did."

"What if they die here? I can't go to jail. I have Ben. Who is going to look after him?"

"Relax, they won't die. I will take them to the hospital but first, you will tell me everything." I said.

Then she told me everything. She took the money from these guys for Ben. Her brother Ben has an anger issue because of that he always picks a fight at school. One day he had beaten a guy so badly that he had to be hospitalised. The parents of the guy agreed not to file a case against Ben if she agrees to pay all the hospital bills. The bill was huge that's why she took the money on interest from these people. She already paid the principal but the interest was too high. She got scared when one of the guys threatened her with Ben and that's why she ran away with Ben.
