Before another hour passed, the brown county cars were towed out of the way, with the deputies sorted into either the tow trucks or Ivy’s Jeep. Steph’s father happily climbed in with her mother, who’d been following right behind Ivy.
Steph assumed arrangements were underway to retrieve the other two ruined cars, but she didn’t want to know anything else about that. She was just relieved she’d eventually be able to venture out to the cliff again without seeing them.
