Chapter 26 The one good thing Bobby could say about the endless, frustrating drive between Louisville and backwoods, best-forgotten Felten County, Virginia, was traffic got lighter the closer he got. Once he departed the seething mess of I-64 for Mountain Parkway, he could relax his focus on the swarms of other vehicles and drivers who obviously didn’t suffer from any worries about road safety. Conditions would soon deteriorate when his route stepped down to the narrow twists of 23, and arguably even worse drivers than on the interstate.
