Chapter 24
By the time I get back downstairs, the others have arrived, and laughter can be heard from the kitchen. I smile when I hear Bruce laugh. Lucy talks to Claire in a high-pitched voice while feeding her small pieces of bread. Since Claire started eating solid food, she hardly wants anything else. At first, I was worried that she wouldn't get enough nutrition, but Beth assured me that it's perfectly normal for wolf pups to switch to solid food early. Fortunately, Claire is getting better and better, but I don't dare to give up her bottle feeding yet.
