Veronica's POV Darwin took a moment to notice my behavior. “You look bothered. "What is the problem?” Darwin asked with a steel gaze into my eyes. His deep voice called my attention. I had wanted to say he should not worry about it. But I knew it would only make things linger the more. I had to tell an admissible lie. “Something is wrong at home, and I am very bothered. "I would like to go check it out,” I said with an obvious fear in my eyes. I begged the heavens that he wouldn't see through me. “You are not good with lies. It's obvious in your eyes.
