Veronica's POV
Before me were two armed police officers, while Mr Darwin was the third man.
“Arrest her!” Darwin ordered without a flinch of his eyes. His voice seemed overwhelming and arrogant at the same time.
“You are under arrest for slander.” The police officer uttered, stretching forth their handcuffs.
“But it's a lie…” I tried to explain to them.
“Shush your mouth, woman! Anything you say here will be used against you in court of law. When you get to our custody, you will explain yourself better. For now, move!” The voice of the police officer was domineering.
I had to follow them and I watched Darwin's face slowly until I walked into the car. The door of the car was shut, and I had to remain within, guarded by two police officers.
