My eyes bulged while I clenched my fist. ‘I will lock you up in the cell, and I will forget the keys.’ My heart held steady on the decision that was in my heart.
Chloe paused and stepped forward while the crowd paved way for her. “Veronica, how could you not invite me to this marvelous party? "I feel offended. "You are wicked.” Her face shrank as those words ruffled out of her lips.
My heightened mind softened with the words that drizzled out of her lips. “The party is meant for employees only. "I am sorry you weren't invited,” I said without an iota of remorse.
She puffed some breath out her nostrils with a half-smile. “Better late than never. ""Now that your best friend is here, the party can now continue,” Chloe emphasized.
