Veronica’s POV
Getting to Darwin's company, I alighted from my car and the magnificent appearance of the company caught my gaze.
‘My company must reach this height.’ I spoke with faith before I thrived forward. Looking at the places I had seen, I stepped forward and headed for the secretary’s office.
On getting inside, I saw the secretary, who was the original staff member, in tears.
“What's happening here?” I asked, looking at how she was packing her things to leave the office.
She didn't say a word. She packed her things and shot a disgusting glare at my face. “Mr Darwin replaced me, and he hired you.” Tears flowed down her cheek and she just walked out.
“Wait… hello.” I tried to call her back, at least to amend the situation because I wasn't aware of Mr Darwin's move.
