Heejin turned to look at the bearer of the voice and her eyes met with the most beautiful face she had ever seen.
He had brown eyes, a sharp high bridge nose, ducked shaped lips which complimented his oval shaped face.
His brown silky hair covered his brows which looked full and healthy.
She watched as he stared intensely at her.
She was lost in his warm gaze, making her forget that she had an heartbreak.
“I thought girls don’t cry loudly in public especially when it’s still bright”. He said in a low husky voice, which she thinks, doesn’t match his cute and beautiful face.
She kept staring lustfully at him even after he had spoken to her.
Seeing how still she was, he finally realized that the way he was close to her isn’t the way a person is supposed to approach another especially when it’s the first meeting each other.
He slowly let go of her hand and adjusted from her a bit. He snapped at her to get her attention, which he got successfully.
Heejin shook her head and adjusted her glasses before looking at him. He found her action strange and cute which made him chuckled. She stared at him confused as she slightly squirts her brows.
“Oh I’m sorry, I just found your attitude weird and cute”. He said upon noticing her confused gaze.”here you go”. He said handing over a handkerchief to her.
Heejin looked at it for a while and over to his face, then she looked away leaving his hand hanging.
“You’re one hell of a sassy lady, aren’t you?”. He said as he gently took her small face in his hand and gently wiped her face with it.
Heejin couldn’t help but stared blankly at the man who didn’t seem to like taking no for an answer, but his warm action towards her made her want to enjoy it a little longer since she couldn’t remember when she was given this type of care, well except from Rejun though, but now she realized all he did for her was fake.
“Little miss always blanking out, aren’t you?”. She suddenly heard the man say. She quickly lifted her head from his hand and took the handkerchief from him.
“I’m sorry”. She whispered avoiding his gaze which confused him.
“Why are you suddenly telling me sorry?”.
“Well I ignored you, and that was very bad of me”. He nodded his head and looked at the pool which she was staring at with her eyes which screamed sadness, pain and hatred.
“So his name is Junie”. Heejin looked at the man feeling shocked by how he knew his name, that no word could come out of her mouth. He noticed her gaze on him and a small smile appeared on his lips which made his dimple visible.
“You made mention of his name while you were crying”.
Heejin looked over at the pool as her face turned red over how embarrassed she felt.
“And now her face is tomato red”. He said again making her feel more embarrassed.
“So you’re still not over your ex?”.
“He’s not my ex”. She corrected him quickly.” He will only be when we break up officially”.
“Oh, so he was two timing and now he’s getting married to the other girl”. Heejin looked at him shocked for the hundredth time.
“I mean you said it while you were crying”. He cleared his throat as he mimicked her voice even though it still sounded deep. “ Junie, marriage?”.
A small smile found it’s way to Heejin’s face as she watched him try to mimic her with his deep voice.
“I don’t sound like that”. She said still smiling. He looked at her and saw her smiling face then looked over at the pool again.
“You should do that a lot”. He said to Heejin and again making her confused. “ I mean you should smile often, it suits you than crying”. Heejin nodded as she kept the smily face on.
“ So are you going to make it official with him?”.
“I…I…I don’t know”. She muttered but enough for him to hear.
“So it’s the confidence we’re lacking here, aren’t we?”. He said still not facing her. “We?”. The man finally looked at her and smirk but didn’t answer her question, he looked back at the pool again and sigh lighly.
“You know everyone have a particular thing they lack confidence in but sometimes they tend to not make it visible to others, so don’t think everyone is complete while you’re the only one who’s not, even this pool have something its not confident about”. Heejin looked confused as she tried to think of what the pool is insecure about but nothing seemed to come through her mind. She turned slowly at him.” And what’s that?”.
“What if one day people finally loses interest in it?, what if one day no one comes here to let go of everything troubling them?, what if one day no one comes here to enjoy its calm and peaceful scenario?”. He paused to look at here listening very attentively as she focused her gaze on the pool.”what if one day people finally realized it got no clothes on and they refuse to look at it”.Heejin looked at him confused for a moment then suddenly bursts into a wild laugh.
“What was that?”.
“I don’t know I just said anything that came through my mind”. He said with a smile as he finally realized that he said something extremely stupid.
“I can’t believe you said that after all the good stuffs”. Heejin said in between her laugh.
“You were a little bit too serious while listening, that’s why”. He said with a shrug.
“Minjun!!”. They both heard someone scream from behind. Heejin saw the man looked back and waved at the person who called him. “Goodbye then”. He said standing up.
“What about your handkerchief”. Heejin asked as she stretched it to him.
“It contains your tears”. He said with a smile as he took few steps forward then suddenly stopped,he turned back and looked at Heejin.” And one more thing, try to speak for yourself”. He said and left while Heejin stared blankly over at his direction.
Heejin directed her gaze over to the grey handkerchief which had ‘MJ’ embroidered on it.
“Minjun”. She whispered as a smile appeared on her face.
