Remi could barely listen to Cressida’s inane chatter, as his eyes were focused solely on Isla swaying closely in Alexander’s arms, even though he wanted very much to go over there and snatch her out of his arms he knew he did not dare, he could not understand how the mate bond had such a strong hold on him to the point that he had to struggle to not act irrationally. He flinched when he felt tugging on his collar and he looked down and saw that Cressida was pouting at him, he ran a finger down her straight nose caressingly, it was not a good idea to annoy his hosts, he must remember that and remain in control.
