I thought it would be fun to share some important stuff—to me, anyway—about CALLA. Here goes (in no particular order):

This is probably obvious, but what the heck? The term faeling is pronounced the same way as the word failing… and faelings are seen as failing both the human and Faerie worlds. Get it?
Hopefully, at least one person is now surprised.
Poetic Inspiration
The gargoyle summoning spell is inspired by Tyger Tyger by William Blake because WHY NOT? The original version of this poem also includes the cutest tiger illustration, so I figure I can offset that sweetness with some bad gargoyle mojo.
The incantation for Dare’s courtship ritual is based on To His Coy Mistress by Andrew Marvell. Because that poem is disgusting to women and
