Chapter Three
Through the next few hours at work, she had a difficult time concentrating on her job. Her mind constantly wandered off to thoughts of Joshua. By the time she took her lunch break, Samantha has been so distracted that she barely managed to accomplish anything. Rather than waste even more time, Valtina convinced Samantha to take a half day and just leave. Thankfully, it had been a slow day at the office and her boss didn’t mind her leaving.
She drove home, still imagining the things that she wanted Joshua to do to her. She stopped at a gas station to fill up her car; while she was waiting there, she called Josh.
He picked up immediately, “Hey, is everything all right?”
“Yeah, umm, everything is fine. I was just kind of wondering if you could come home early. I’m on my way
