Introduction to Consumed by Darkness

In a realm vastly different from our own an enchanting story unfolds. A tale of love, mystery, tragedy, comedy, and so much more. Our story takes place in the kingdoms of Lux and Nox.

Lux is the light kingdom, its inhabitants are beings who possess magic related but not limited to light, fire, and healing. Lux is made up of many white sand beaches with turquoise water, small coastal towns and cities. Lux is in perpetual summer and is always warm and has long days and short nights. It's a vibrant but elegant home to warm creatures. A majority of its inhabitants are darker skinned due to their ancestors adapting to a hotter sunnier climate, but that doesn't mean everyone is. The denizens of Lux celebrate life with a vibrant passion and life every moment to its fullest. Filling their lives with endless festivities and celebrations. Lux is ruled by the royal family of Solas, and their current king, Lucian Solis. King Lucian is a kind benevolent man with an open heart with deep wells of empathy for his people.

On the opposite side of a wild wide river exists a kingdom of vast opposition.

Nox is the dark kingdom, its inhabitants are beings who possess magic related but not limited to darkness, shadows, and decay. Nox is made up of harsh mountains and dense forests. Its inhabitants live in the complex caverns of the mountains. Inside these caverns, are towns, cities, farms, palaces, their entire society confined inside the many large mountains. Nox is in perpetual Winter and is always cold, they have short days and long nights. It's a dark and untamed home to colder creatures. A majority of its inhabitants are fairer skinned due to their ancestors adapting to a colder lack of sun life, but that doesn't mean everyone is. The denizens of Nox celebrate death with a violent passion and life every moment to its fullest. Filling their lives with endless tournaments and constant brawls. Nox is ruled by the royal family of Umbra, and their current king, Erebus Umbra. King Erebus is a vile and dangerous man with a cold heart and endless amount of cruelty.

These two lands, their people, and their rulers have been at odds since ancient times. Now The King of Nox has a plan, a way to strike Lux at its core, or more accurately, heart.
