Chapter 8 Bud’s recovery was slow. He wanted to run before he could walk, jump before he could skip. He constantly railed against his enforced limitations. At times things between him and David were strained, but David never lost faith that Bud would heal and regain his strength. Many times Bud would cry. David thought at first it was due to the physical pain he knew the man must be feeling.
