The moonlight filtered through the open window, casting its pale glow across our entwined bodies. Rowan's skin was bronze in the soft light, smooth and warm against my own. Her hair was messy across the pillows, a stark contrast to the white linens. I traced my fingers along the curve of her hip, marveling at how far we had come.
