The Alpha and the Omega

Chapter 4

“Why does she need to come with us?” Milly shrieked as we climbed into the black SUV.

Alpha Jayson didn’t respond but he looked irritated. Milly moved closer to him and placed her hand on his upper thigh and looked right at him.

“Why are you here?” She squawked at me. I can’t stand her whiny, high-pitched voice. It makes me want to stab myself in the ear..

“I don’t know,” I honestly said. I know he didn’t want me, but why did he feel the need to take me with them?

“She is my mate.” He said, as if it was the most natural thing. Milly gasped and kept looking between the two of us.

“Did you know? Are you trying to steal my happiness, Jaclyn?” Milly whispered.

It took me by surprise. She almost seemed really hurt. “How would I have known? I won't turn 18 for 2 weeks. I don’t have my wolf yet.” And with that I turned and looked out the window.

Milly began nagging Alpha Jayson. “What does that mean for me? I thought I was supposed to be your Luna! WHAT NOW?”

He looked over at me and back to Milly. “It means nothing. You will still be my Luna, well in name. I will use you for my needs. As for my mate, I will keep her around until we have mated and this mate bond will no longer make me weak.”

Milly’s eyes widened, it was then she realized she was still going to be his Luna, but only in title. She didn’t speak to me the rest of the ride to the Blood Moon Pack. Which I was grateful, I was so occupied with my heart breaking from hearing his words. But my face remained neutral as I sat next to my mate as he held another wolf.

It took 2 hours to get to the pack house. Occasionally I would look over to see My Mate and Milly kiss and grope each other. It seemed each time I looked I would find my mate staring at me while kissing her. Nova wanted to take over but I fought for control. As soon as the SUV came to a stop, I stepped out and pulled my bag over my shoulder and tried to get into the massive house that stood in front of me.

Alpha Jayson looked at his Beta “Take Milly to her room. She is not to leave that room unless I say. That includes her meals. She will remain in that room until further notice.”

His Beta placed his hand on the small of her back and led Milly into the house. The house itself was remarkable, but I wasn’t given a chance to look at it in all its glory before my arm was forcefully grabbed and I was being dragged down an overgrown path to the left of the house and away from the pack.

“Come with me Mutt.” He mumbled as if I had a choice in the matter. He was pulling me with such force I knew my arm would have bruises. He was walking so quickly I kept tripping to keep up and in the moments when I almost fell he just dragged me.

About 15 minutes later, we came to a run-down shack. He threw open the door and turned to me.

He brought his hand to my cheek gently. The mate bond sends sparks through my body. “You are beautiful my little mate. But I don’t want you, but unfortunately my wolf needs you. For now, anyway. Welcome to your new home.” With those words he threw me into the room.

I don’t know what I hit but I hit my head hard off of the corner of something hard and everything went dark.
