Ryan sat at his desk, staring blankly at his computer screen. He was trying to focus on his work, but his mind kept wandering back to Emily. He had met her a few days ago, and they had instantly clicked. They had talked about everything from their jobs to their favorite TV shows, and Ryan had felt a connection with her that he couldn't explain. Just then, Sam, the person who sat beside Ryan, leaned over and whispered, "Hey, Ryan, I see you're staring at Emily again." Ryan's face turned bright red as he quickly looked away. "Shut up, Sam." Sam chuckled. "I'm serious, Ryan. You're totally into her." Ryan sighed. "Sam, I'm trying to work here." But Sam just laughed and continued to tease Ryan. "I know you are, but you can't help it. You're smitten." Ryan rolled his eyes. "Whatever, Sam." Just then, Lina, a beautiful and charming female colleague, walked by and smiled at Ryan. "Hey, Ryan, how's it going?" Ryan looked up and smiled back at her. "Hey, Lina, I'm good. Thanks for asking." Sam leaned over and whispered, "See, Ryan, Lina is totally into you. You should ask her out." She's beautiful, smart, and charming." Ryan sighed. "Sam, I'm not interested in Lina. Okay?" But Sam just wouldn't let up. "Come on, Ryan. Don't be shy. Ask her out." Ryan's face turned bright red as he quickly looked away. "Sam, stop it." But Sam just laughed and continued to tease Ryan. "I'm serious, Ryan. You're missing out on a great opportunity." Meanwhile, Emily was sitting at her desk, watching Ryan and Sam's conversation with amusement. She had no idea what they were talking about, but she could tell that Ryan was getting embarrassed. As she watched, Emily couldn't help but feel a sense of friendship with Ryan. They had only met a few days ago, but she already felt like she could talk to him about anything. Just then, Ryan looked up and caught Emily's eye. He smiled and waved, and Emily smiled and waved back. As they exchanged smiles, Emily felt a sense of connection with Ryan.
