It was the day of the party, and Nox had been by my side for these last few days, but he wouldn't tell me anything to do with the party. All he kept saying was that it was a surprise, and that I'd enjoy it now that I know.
We did end up going to my Aunt's and Uncle's house and they told me they'd do some more research as to what else I might be. They gave me a book on seers, just to help me understand. They don't think I'm just a seer, they think I'm something much more powerful because Seers do levitate.
There hasn't been a seer in over a thousand years. Apparently, Centuries ago, there was a war, a big war that killed thousands of wolves and other mythical creatures: Dragons, fairies, nymphs and other creatures, Hidden from mankind, but a war started by witches and seers made them non-existent. Extinct.
The book I was given was a really old hardback, the pages were dusty and torn. I could make out some words but some were in an unknown language, written with symbols.
I need to learn to fight, is what the book is basically telling me, to learn to control my emotions. "Anger could be the end of all" Is what was written in slurred handwriting on the last page of the book.
The last few days have been great, my brothers have been by my side with Nox,. It wasn't awkward or weird, it was like they enjoyed my company, which is all I ever wanted. Even Alex had been friendly. We were bonding.
It was nearing 4 O'clock, and the party was just a few hours away. My outfits arrived days ago, but with everything going on I didn't have time to try them on. I hadn't even thought about trying them on.
I grabbed the first package, and opened it. It was a bright red dress with some sparkles on it, it had an open back and a slightly opened front, there was a red laced waist band tied in a small bow on the front, it treaded all the way down to my ankles, it was gorgeous.
I opened another package, and it was a black dress, same texture same style, slightly shorter than the previous one, this one airing down just below my knees.
I opened the last package, a dazzling white dress, the same style the same texture as the other two, but this one draped above the knees. All the dresses were so beautiful, exactly my kind of thing, but I hadn't any shoes to go with them. I thought I bought some but I was wrong.
I looked in my wardrobe and I still had some of my mother's belongings, stuff my brothers thought I might like. She had dolly shoes, all different colours. It was a miracle I was the same size shoe as her. I kept searching through the boxes of shoes, she had purple shoes, blue shoes, black shoes, but the black shoes had little love hearts on them, not my kind of thing.
Then I pulled out a gorgeous pair of red dolly shoes, just plain but beautiful. They were a little worn out underneath, but no one was going to see the bottom of my shoes. I pulled them up to my dress, to check if they were the same shade of colour and they were! Much to my shock. All that was playing in my mind was that this was fate, or something to do with it. This couldn't just be a big coincidence.
I pulled up a long mirror from behind my bed and laid it so I could see my whole person in the mirror. I got dressed in the red dress and put my shoes on.
I felt amazing, I felt like I looked great. As I was looking at my reflection, I had an image of how to wear my makeup and hair.
Light makeup, with some bronzer on my cheekbones and a little red eye shadow on. My hair would be up in several tiny little scalp plats, and then a high bun, with little soft curls dangling from them.
I started with my hair first, surely that would take the longest if I was to do what I had pictured. Everything was going smoothly. I did my hair fairly easy but it took a long time then I applied my make up, I felt great, I felt happy, and I was so excited.
Until I heard banging against my door, and the bolt on the outside locked shut.
I ran over to the door and pounded on it, pulling and pushing the ball handle in every direction to try and open the door. It was no use. I was locked in. It was about 6:30 now and the party was only half an hour away.
I ran over to my window which was the direct opposite side of the room and I pulled it open and poked my head out of it. My window overlooked the back doors, and I could see people being carried away. My brothers were screaming at them, but I couldn't see Nox anywhere. If I was a seer, why the f**k hadn't I seen all this before? Or maybe I could only see the past? No, I'm sure that can't be right.
I ran back to my door running into it as fast as I could, but I bounced off of it, losing all balance and falling to the floor. I got up and tried again, and again and again, four attempts on breaking down the door, but it was no use, I barely made a crack...
But I made one, I thought to myself. I have made a slight crack, it wasn't impossible to break the door down. It was just a lot of effort to do so.
I could still hear my brothers shouting outside, I looked out of my window, to see them fighting. If it wasn't so high up, I would jump out, but I'd surely fall to my death if I did that from this height.
I was panicking. My only way out was to go through my door, literally.
I took deep breaths and braced myself, I started from my window and ran straight into the door shoulder first, another small crack appeared, I ran again and again and again, until I made a big enough hole to see out of.
There was a chair up against the door handle. I reached my arm through to try and move the chair, but I was just too far away, I could hear girls screaming outside and crying, begging pleading for their lives.
I looked out of my window again just to keep checking on things, and five or six men were tying people up, sitting them down on the ground in front of my house. My brothers were tied up too, all three of them, but they were slightly closer to the house and they were stood up watching the house. Nox, still was nowhere to be seen.
I decided to run at the door one last time to make the hole near the door handle bigger. I ran at it, but it didn't make it bigger, I shoved my hand through again to try to push the chair, but I still couldn't reach it, I grabbed one of my mum's old high heels and hit the hole with it, trying to dig some of the chipped wood and cardboard out, it was working but very slowly. I don't know what I'd do if I was to break free, but hopefully I could somehow get help, or help everyone downstairs.
I was suddenly getting very sweaty. It was so humid in the house, the floor was warm, but I was trying to concentrate on breaking free.
I finished digging the door with my heels, and tried to push the chair from the handle, I jiggled the handle from my side with my right arm while trying to push the chair away with my left, I managed to unlock the door from the other side accidentally trying to move the chair, but it was good progress. As my fingertips managed to push the chair, the door burst open and something on the door managed to s***h my arm. I was free though.
I ran downstairs to see everything had caught fire. Everything downstairs was burning, bright orange flames. The fire was spreading towards the stairs, my only way out was through a window.
Axton's room was probably the best room to escape from. We extended the kitchen last year so that the guys could have a pool table and so the kitchen has its own space.
I ran into Axton's room which was closest to the kitchen and directly above the burning fire below. His window was stuck shut and was hot to the touch.
I grabbed a baseball bat from his cupboard and smashed the window with it, knocking out the little tiny pieces that stayed. I didn't realise how far away the kitchen roof actually was, but if I could dangle and then jump, I'd be okay.
I climbed out of the window and lowered myself a few inches away from the kitchen roof, I thought I might be able to reach it if I stuck my leg out far enough, but I couldn't.
I braced myself, again and tried to swing myself so I could do a little leap, but my knees kept scraping on the wall.
I ignored the little pain and took a big swing and managed to land straight on the roof, but a shooting pain from my side sent shocks straight through my body, like I had landed on something, or something went through me. I turned around to see what the pain was before I realised the big shard of glass sticking out of my right side. Just an inch or two away from my belly button, close to my hip. It wasn't so big, but it was deep.
I pulled it out very slowly and ripped some of my dress at the bottom and tied it around my wound. It was excruciating, I've never felt pain like this before and it was horrible. As I was tying the material from my dress around my side, the windows erupted and flames burst through them, setting the whole top level ablaze. I still needed to get off this roof.
I looked down and suddenly felt sick. I didn't have a fear of heights, but I think the smoke got to me, or the amount of blood I was loosing, I felt sick, but I wasn't going to die, not like this.
I climbed down and hung onto the roof by my finger tips, as I was hanging I couldn't brave the drop. I was scared. A shocking pain launched up my body from my wound and blood started pouring out again, jolting my right hand to let go of the roof, then, because my right hand let go, my left started slipping. I let go, and as I landed shocking pain went up my shins, but I was okay it wasn't as far down as I thought it was. My body just wanted to pass out, but more things in my house started to shatter, everything was crackling, and tiny little things burst.
I ran away from the house, only a good few feet before the whole place blew up. I lay on the grass, trying to breathe as the slight explosion blew me a few more feet across the grass, but I was alive. I made it out alive.
I saw three black cars speeding off. Then I heard my brothers all screaming out my name, searching for me.
