His partner cut straight to it. "I called in every favor I had to keep Olivia's name clean. The fallout's nothing serious, everyone in the industry knows what she can do. Tell her to come back to work and treat the whole thing like it never happened."
The knot in Damien's chest loosened.
His partner continued, "But Damien, I've gotta level with you. You really did Olivia dirty this time.
"That necklace was her competition piece. She walked away from the contest just to finish it in time for your mom's birthday. And here's the kicker. My source on the inside told me she would've taken gold two years running if she'd entered it the way she'd planned."
