The vampire swirled the chilled wine in her glass and downed it all at a single go. The anticipation of seeing her mate was gnawing at her inside. The sound of the doorbell had Jillian shifting from her stance before the glass wall and towards her apartment's front door in a blink of an eye. In a final move to gather herself together, Jillian brushed her hand through her hair as she glanced at the dark-framed, octagonal decorative mirror by the door to recheck her appearance for what felt like the hundredth time. Her hand hovered over the handle with a slight tremble to it. Despite knowing the one on the other side of the door, the vampire couldn't help being a nervous wreck. Lea's close proximity was electric. The doorbell sounded again breaking Jillian's short trance and the vampire twisted the knob and pulled the door open. "Hi there." Her mate stood before her, out of breathe with her face flustered from the shyness emanating from her. Jillian's open arms were soon filled and the vampire couldn't help but enfold them tightly around her mate's waist. Snuffing out even the smallest of gap between them. "I'm glad we could see each other here," Lea murmured against the vampire's chest. Her entire body was vibrating with a variation of emotions but the most prominent ones were excitement and contentment. Lea was happy. Pushing the door shut behind their still intertwined bodies, Jillian finally let herself be immersed in the feel of her little angel. The exhaustion that had been bearing down on her faded like fog in the face of sunlight. Jillian's spirits brightened as her face and nose burrowed in Lea's luscious blonde locks. Her mate's scent was enlivening, a breath of fresh air. "Let's go sit," Jillian said. Unwilling to let go, Lea shifted to the vampire's side and wrapped her arms around her aunt's torso as their both moved from the door. "Would you like anything to drink, my angel." "No. I'm fine thank you," Lea whispered not wishing to break contact with her vampire. Jillian pulled Lea down on the couch with her. The action earning a surprised gasp from her mate when Jillian instead tugged her mate onto her. "What are..." "Here. I want you here," Jillian said answering the question in Lea's widened gaze. Lea's heart lifted at the soft request. She nodded and tentatively straddled the vampire's thigh and settled herself on her lap. "Like that?" Lea whispered the question as dark eyes bored into hers. "Yes," Jillian whispered as she set her hands on her mate's hips drawing her in. Not knowing what to do with her own hands, Lea rested them at the base of the vampire's neck, "I... I like this," Lea whispered and rested her head against the vampire's temple. The vampire's skin felt cool against her enflamed one and Lea released a soft sigh at this. Lea bit her lower lip muffling the tiny whimpers that wanted to escape past her mouth. The hands caressing her waist had wandered past the edge of her top and where now making sensual circles on her lower back. Lea let out a breathless cry as the hands ascended higher rubbing against her arched spine. Her fingers hooked into her vampire's hairs and Lea blindingly pulled her upwards for a kiss. Their lips molded in a heated frenzy. The kiss was frantic, unrestrained, demanding but all Lea could feel through it all was the softness and searing way the vampire's lips moved against hers. The caress left Lea a breathless, whimpering mess as Jillian broke the kiss and trailed downwards along the side of her mate's neck. It was impossible for Lea to sit still as her head flung backwards offering more access to the vampire's questing mouth. Lea's chest tightened making her breath come out in loud gasps. The air around them didn't help calm her down. It was was electrified, hot and fanned further the burning between her legs. "Oh god!" Lea cried out as sharp teeth trailed the nape of her neck. Never in her life had she experienced something this thrilling, exhilarating and blinding all at once. Her hand pressed harder on the head burrowed into her neck wanting more of the sensations the vampire was giving to her. Lea's heart slammed into her chest when she felt her aunt's fangs rake against her skin. A burst of pleasure shocked her entire system and with it delectable pain. Lea's stomach knotted with with a sense of need and urgency. She was dizzy, winded as the pressure in her nether region built up the more the vampire persisted in her actions. "Aunt.... Jillian... I... Jillian... I," Lea was at a loss for words. She had dreamt of this instant, daydreamed countless times about this yet the actual moment surpassed all the images she'd come up with in her mind. Her desires had come to fruition. Burning her from the inside as she reveled in them. Jillian pulled away before she could fully sink her fangs in her mate's silky skin. Lea's sweet arousal was fogging up her sense of thought. Jillian was barely clinging to her restraint. Her lips lapped onto the droplets of blood trailing down her mate's neck. Her elongated fangs had only scratched the surface of the skin. The blood bags she'd been forced to consume while her older sister sustained herself with her mate's blood mixed with wine was pure torture. Though little she'd taken from Lea, the vampire couldn't stop then sense of rejuvenation her body felt. She was energized and enlivened from the small taste. Lea glanced at the pupils that had shifted in their color. The red twinge excited her. Her hard headed, always calm and collected aunt had finally broken resolve and taken her blood willingly. Without any incentive or coercion from her part. Lea touched the place she'd felt her vampire's nipping at. It was still wet but Lea could also feel the tiny scab that had formed. It wasn't the claiming mark Lea eagerly desired but it was still something substantial. They were finally and surely moving in that direction. "Was it good?" Lea questioned. "Yes. Better than anything I've ever had," the vampire replied. Lea squeezed her eyes shut as her body shuddered from her vampire's husky, tantalizing voice. That very voice and tone did things to her body. Things that Lea did not quite grasp but all the while made her feel very good. "What are you thinking about?" Jillian questioned as she squeezed Lea's backside. The hard feel of a phone there didn't deter the vampire's desire to feel more. A squeal from her mate made Jillian smile. The sound though small was the most adorable thing Jillian had ever heard. "What's on your mind." "You?" "Charming," Jillian replied feeling emboldened by her mate's honesty. "What's on your mind?" Lea whispered taking on her aunt's question. "Me? All I can think of is kissing you," the vampire replied. Her hands trailed up her mate's arms. Noting the goosebumps that appeared in the wake of her fingers, Jillian smiled. "Do you mind if I do so, my angel." Lea ran her thumb area over the delicate column of her vampire's throat and nodded. The air, the tension between them and around them charged up further as their locked gazes spoke volume of their needs. Lea's eyes closed as she felt her head being pulled down. Her pulse beat hard in her eyes but even the threat of suffering a major heartache couldn't stop her desire. "Oh... that... that feels so good," Lea rasped out. Jillian smiled and brushed her lips over her mate's ears, "Does it really?" The vampire taunted and was pleased with how shallow Lea's breathing had become. The much awaited kiss never came and Lea let out an exaggerated groan at the sound of her phone ringing noisily. Lea pulled it from her back pocket and checked the caller ID. "It's Liam calling," Lea lazily uttered and resignedly leaned on her vampire. "Let's ignore it. I... I can shut if off?" Jillian smiled at the mischievous tone in her mate's words. Knowing her older sister this idea wouldn't pan out well for the both of them. Once Lenora couldn't get in touch with Lea, her sister would come in search of her only daughter, "We should go," the vampire instead countered. "We are both due home anyway." "Ugh, fine," Lea murmured and moved from her aunt's lap. It was a dangerous position to be in if they both planned on leaving anytime soon. Lea picked the call before its ringing could end. On the other end her brother inquired of her current whereabouts and bought forth absurd requests for her to bring home barbacue flavored crisps. The conversation was short and with clear directions, she was needed home. "I guess we I should go then?" Lea dragged out the words. "Are you angry, my little angel?" "I'm not. Okay fine. Maybe... maybe a little," Lea retorted with a huff, "I don't want this to end." "Nothing is ending, my angel. Nothing about us two will ever end," Jillian assured her mate. They just had to be patient, careful for a while. "Mates. Forever, remember?" "You're right," Lea murmured and moved to rest her head against her vampire's chest. "I've just wanted this for so long aunt Jillian and now that I have you I almost don't want our time together to stop or ever come to an end." Jillian moved her arm draping it over Lea's shoulders as she pulled her mate close. With a lingering kiss to Lea's head, the vampire closed her eyes and reveled in the moment. "I'll head home first then," Lea spoke and raised from the couch. She righted her appearance and watched as her vampire stood up too. Lea admired her aunt's grace, her flowing ebony hair contrasting with her porcelain skin. Her Aunt Jillian possessed an otherworldly appeal that allured everyone who crossed her path. Everyone including herself. Jillian reached for Lea's hand and squeezed it. The vampire could feel her mate's disappointment, "You'll come right?" Jillian softly asked. "What?" Lea asked as they walked hand in hand towards the door. "Come where? Back here? Tonight?" The vampire shook her head answering all the latter questions with a single nod. "My bed, tonight and every other night, I'll hold you tight. Just the way you like, my little angel," Jillian propositioned sweetly. Lea giggled and fervently nodded her head. Her aunt didn't need to ask. She would always go to her. Their were mates. Brought together by fate. Bonded by love, blood and the promise of eternity as one. Together. Later in the night, with the world asleep and shrouded in darkness she would sneak into her aunt's room. In the quiet stillness of their secret world, they would kiss again, sealing their forbidden connection in the shadows. ~~~~~~~~~~ Parking next to her mother's car, Lea stepped out and breathed in the cold evening air. A soft breeze was in the wind. The air, cool against her still flustered skin and mind. Lea shrugged off her leather jacket and took a moment to replay the happenings of the day. Sam's misgivings were already forgotten replaced by memories so surreal Lea was still coming to terms with it. The ghost of her aunt's lips still left Lea a shuddering mess as her hand went to the spot the vampire had been licking and biting at. "Lea? Are you home?" her brother's voice called out to her, "Mom sent me to call you in." "I'm coming. Give me a moment!" "Hurry up Lea!" Liam yelled out. "Did you bring it?" "I'm coming! Go inside Liam," she hollered back at him. "Did you bring my crisps." "No Liam!" "Why not!" "I forgot! Now go back in!" "No! You come in!" Lea sucked in a breath, knowing her little brother they'd both go on with this for the entire night. She pushed away from her car and approached the manor's front door. Liam stood by it clad in a green, ninja turtles t-shirt, blue shorts and a pair white socks. A controller was in his hands, his headset pulled back and along with all that an irritated look on his face. "You can go in now dumbass." "Whatever," Liam huffed as his sister walked past him and into the house. He pulled the front door shut and followed her close by. "What were you doing out there all alone. Were you smoking?" "Shut up Liam?!" "You were smoking, am right, ain't I?" Liam questioned as he sniffed the air around his older sister. "Mom will be so pissed, Lea!" "Shut it! I don't..." "Lea, princess," Lenora called out and moved to embrace her daughter, "Where were..." Her next words were lodged in her throat as she took in her Lea's scent. Her daughter smelt different. Lea carried a very familiar scent alongside her own and with it a mixture of things Lenora couldn't bear to say out loud. "Mom? What's wrong?" "Where were you?" "I went to Uncle Gary's bakery and then met up with a friend?" Lea explained as vaguely as she could. "Why?" "Nothing. Nothing princess, " Lenora stated and pecked her daughter on the cheek. "Your mother told me to inform you dinner that will done in a few." "Thanks... thanks mom," Lea faltered in her response, "Are you sure you're okay?" "Yes, my princess," Lenora answered quickly as she made her way back to her wife. "Wait," the vampire said and turned to look at her daughter. "Who was this friend?" "Um... it... it was Maddie. You know her Mom. She's... she's my best friend." "Oh right," Lenora nodded. "Now go freshen up," the vampire added and dashed off. Something about Lea was sending off alarm bells in her mind. Her sister's distinct scent was all over daughter and it made the vampire worry. Had the two met up? Jillian had rushed from the airport, turning down their driver's offer for a drop off. From what she could remember, her sister had dashed off to see a business partner. A meeting of urgency, Jillian had termed it to be. "What's wrong honey?" Hazel asked her vampire who lingered by the kitchen's threshold deep in thought. "Is our daughter fine?" "Did Lea have a mark on her neck when she left this morning?" The question surprised Hazel who gazed at her wife comical, "I don't know, maybe," Hazel answered nonchalantly, "Why didn't you ask her? Is it a big mark? Is it something we should be worried about?" "No," Lenora murmured. From the embrace, the vampire had also made out the heavy scent of her daughter's blood. "Then she's fine, probably got scratched by something dear," Hazel remarked. "I'll check the scar after dinner. Did you tell her about dinner?" "Did she tell you about who she is seeing?" Lenora questioned instead. "Um, no," Hazel murmured distractedly. "I neither have a name nor a face. Just the gender, love." "What do you mean by that, Cara Mia?" "Our daughter is dating a girl," Hazel squealed excitedly. She hoped for a similar reaction from her wife but all Hazel got was solemn silence. "Wait, sorry, not a girl but woman. Can you believe our daughter. Lea explicitly described her as that. A woman." "A woman?" "Yes and she'll bring her around soon, love," Hazel added choosing to ignore her wife's stillness. Lenora always got worked up whenever it came to whomever their children associated with. Her vampire always wanted them all to be safe. Gazing at her wife now, Hazel was sure Lenora was contemplating on the various ways of gathering intel pertaining to their daughter's love interest. "When is this soon?" Lenora questioned. "I don't know," Hazel shrugged and pulled her wife down for a quick kiss. "Be patient with her. Give your daughter some time my dear." "Time you say, Cara Mia," Lenora grumbled under her breath. The inkling within her was pointing the vampire in a direction that she didn't want to fathom. "Yes," Hazel answered warningly, "I know you Lenora. Don't do anything. Don't you dare pressure your daughter with this! When the time is right, remember." The vampire huffed, it was hard to tamper down on her maternal, protective instincts when it came to her children, but as always, her wife was right. "Fine. I'll be patient," Lenora murmured, "But I can't promise not to protect her from any weird characters. She's my only daughter, Cara Mia." "I know that, sweetie. That's why I love you more and more everyday my sweet vampire," Hazel hummed to her vampire lovingly. The ding of the oven cut short their passionate staring and Lenora dipped her head down and stole a kiss. "I'll help you set you the table then," Lenora offered and pecked her wife on the lips. "Thank you sweetie."
