Third Person P.O.V
"Gurgle with this," Hazel said, handing the man a small plastic cup of water. She pushed back on her rolling chair and started adjusting the Orthodontic chair to an upright pose for the man to comfortably sit up and spit on the chair's spittoon. "It's still numb but you'll start getting a feeling on that side in an hour or so.'
"Okay," the man grumbled.
Hazel pulled off her plastic gloves and disposed of them in the dustbin as she walked towards the small table in the room. "I'll give you some painkillers and would strongly suggest not eating off that side of the mouth for a few days. Our next session will be next week on the same day and time, Mr. Fabish. Make sure you reserve an appointment with Clara, my assistant."
"Thank you doctor," he replied and took the prescription paper Hazel held out. Hazel walked the man to the door whilst she directed him on where to get his medicine. With a final grunt and nod, he was off and Hazel sighed in relief and removed the face mask. The root canal session lasted well over an hour and thirty minutes. Mr. Fabish was adamant about wanting the tooth removed but she'd advised against it. The cavity hadn't eroded the tooth too much. It could still be salvaged and, after getting the facts, Mr. Fabish had coolly agreed to the procedure as long as it stopped the ache.
"Doc," Hazel turned around and found her assistant’s head popped into the room. "You have a visitor."
"Do they have an appointment?"
"No. Doc. Your next patient’s appointment will be at two. The visitor is waiting for you in your office," Clara, her assistant, answered with a smirk.
"Who?" Hazel questioned, but was met by a nonchalant shrug.
"I was told not to say. But they are waiting inside your office."
Hazel let out a laugh as the familiar thrum registered over her exhaustion. With her spirits lifted, she made her way out the dental room and headed for her office. Abstract painting adorned the hallway walls, giving life to the place. Hazel nodded a small greeting to her colleague Dr. Regan. They'd met in dental school and had pulled their resources together to start up their dental clinic. Seven years down their line, the business still held and was growing as their clientele list.
Hazel twisted the handle and pushed her office door open. Her heart skipped a bit as excitement snaked through her at the person waiting for her in the room. Her mate. Her vampire and queen of her heart sat patiently in one of the guest chairs. Lenora's black hair looked even darker with it sleeked back in style with gel.
"Did we have an appointment?" Hazel teased, shutting the door behind her. "Come to have your fangs checked, honey?" Feeling a little adventurous, Hazel clicked the door’s lock and watched in fascination as Lenora's brows rose in question.
"No doctor. I came for you, Cara Mia."
Hazel approached her vampire and boldly sat on her wife’s lap. "You smell amazing," she murmured as her head rested against the vampire’s chest. Hazel released a sigh of relief as she felt the exhaustion of the day slowly start to drain away and get replaced with something new. Hazel gasped in surprise at Lenora's show of strength and speed when she was quickly hoisted up and set on her desk with her wife parting her legs to stand in between them.
"Baby," Hazel whispered out the moan. The hand ascending up her thigh and the lips exploring her neck thoroughly made her feel like she was about to pass out from the intense pleasure coursing through her. Her vampire's caresses were nirvana.
"Cara Mia," Lenora groaned out like a starved beast. Her unsheathed fangs trailed down her mate's sensuous neck as her body coiled with the anticipation of taking her wife’s blood. Hunger and desire clashed within Lenora as she traced rough kisses along Hazel’s neck. "I need..."
"Do it," Hazel deliriously demanded as she ground her center against the hand cupping her mound. "Oh god...Lenora." Nobody excited her as much as her vampire did. Even with them decades into their marriage, her desire for Lenora remained raw and always sparked alive when her vampire was close to her.
Hazel’s burning core soon felt relief when Lenora’s hand squeezed past her slack's waistband and underwear to reach her drenched v****a. "In... inside," Hazel gasped harshly as she lifted her upper body off the table to allow the vampire’s hand space to move. Her hands clung onto the vampire's neck as she started gyrating her hips chasing after the sweet, sweet pleasure her vampire's adept fingers promised.
"I love you Cara Mia," Lenora murmured the adoration, her voice low and gravelly before she sank her fangs deep in her mate's neck. The burst of blood and flavor crushed into her like a wrecking ball. Lenora released a guttural moan as the rich essence flowed fast and richly down her throat. The hands clinging to her, tightened around her neck and Lenora felt her mate's wall start to clench around her deeply buried digits.
The cry came from deep within her soul, Hazel clamped her mouth shut and buried her face snugly against her vampire's neck to stifle her loud, sensual moans. The walls in the clinic weren't paper thin but she didn't want anyone else hearing her cries of passion other than her vampire mate. Hazel arched into Lenora's body as the orgasm coursed through her and carried her body to a blissful release.
"Ah," Hazel breathed out as her scrambled senses slowly returned to her. "I... I needed… I really needed that baby," Hazel muttered against Lenora's neck. Their s*x life had only gotten better with the years and Hazel couldn’t help but really love how her vampire sensed her needs and passionately met them.
"Something is going on with our Lea, Cara Mia" Lenora revealed, her voice still rugged and labored. The blood high was kicking in and Lenora sagged her weight lazily against her heaving mate.
"What… what do you mean, baby?"
"I can't really describe it," the vampire let out in a low voice. Lenora couldn't quite put a finger on it but she knew something was definitely a miss when it came to her daughter's latest behavior.
"Maybe our daughter finally has a boyfriend?"
"Maybe," Lenora answered, chuckling softly. Despite the many eager boys wanting to date their daughter, Lenora had never seen Lea get into a relationship with anyone of them. Now, that her wife had actually mentioned it, maybe Lea had finally met someone who unraveled her in the ways her mate continuously and delightfully did. "Maybe, you're right, Cara Mia."
Hazel pulled her head from where it lay tucked on her vampire's neck. She kissed Lenora’s firm jaw and playfully nipped the silky skin, "Not maybe, I am always right baby," Hazel gloated.
"You are," Lenora admitted, having lived and breathed the adage ‘happy wife, happy life’. Whomever had coined the words had hit the nail right on the head. "Always right, my Cara Mia"
"Say it again," Hazel hotly murmured as her lips kissed their way up to the vampire's ear. She loved it when Lenora affirmed her thoughts. But, what Hazel adored most were the needy, keening sounds her vampire made whenever she made love to her sensitive spot just below her ear. It was Lenora's weakness and one of the vampire's many erogenous spots.

Lea slapped the textbook shut and rested her head on the book with a pained groan. She couldn't concentrate, her every thought was focused on one person. An elusive woman she hadn't laid eyes on for days. Her dark eyes and even darker hair haunted her every waking thought and it had worsened as her striking face now even taunted her as she slept.
Lea felt like she was literally going crazy with all the questions that remained unanswered with her aunt away on 'business.' Guilt prickled at Lea's consciousness, had she, in a fit of anger, pushed her aunt too far. Aunt Jillian, above everything, cherished their family, maybe taking her blood, even the slightest, could have been as serious as the woman had claimed it to be.
"Hey, maybe we should take a break?"
Lea looked up and was met by Jake's warm yet worried gaze. She simply nodded, unable to pull out a clear retort from her troubled thoughts.
"Come on then," he urged, gathering their books and stationery in the middle of the table. "Let's go have something to eat then."
"Sure, but we have a class in...," Lea clicked her phone on and checked the time. "In the next 40 minutes. Again, Jake, I'm sorry I was of no help today."
"It happens to the best of us," Jake answered, bumping his shoulder playfully against Lea’s.
"Don't worry about it, Jake. I’ll work on the conclusion,” Lea said, wanting to salvage her lapse. “Besides, we still have a few days before the paper's deadline."
The walk down the three flights of stairs, through the library to get outside was in relative silence. Lea couldn't help but check her phone. Maddie still had to be in class. She hadn't texted her back. That, though, was the least of her worries. The one-worded text messages from her Aunt Jillian left her with a sinking feeling.
"So... Sam. Are you two together, Lea? Going out?" Jake threw out the question that he’d been holding back since the beginning of their study session.
Lea let out a small, nervous laugh, "Um… what makes you think so?"
Jake rubbed the back of his neck, the awkwardness of the conversation finally dawning on him. "Sam, he… he talks a lot... and I mean a lot about you," Jake drew out, "You're all he talks about, actually. And, um honestly speaking, he... Sam really cares about you." Looking at Lea, he saw her nodding her head, her face marred with lines, as if contemplating hard on what to say to him. Jake bit the inside of his cheek, who knew ‘putting in a good word’ for a friend could be this hard.
"Well, Sam and I are..."
"We don't have to talk about it," Jake halted her realizing the error of his actions. He was Lea's friend too. They shared multiple classes in their architectural lighting and design courses. They often hangout and had the same group of friends. As much as Sam was his best buddy, it did feel weird placing Lea, his friend too, in such a position. It was best he drew back and watched the rest from the sidelines.
Lea laughed at the uneasiness in Jake's voice, "Wait, did he set you up for this?" Jake shrugged, looking away from Lea's inquisitive gaze. "Jake?"
"Yes. He did. With this assignment, I was to hype him up and learn… Let's just not talk about it," he rushed out his explanations.
"It's fine Jake. He’s our friend," Lea assured, "But, I'm not there yet. With him. Or anyone else, as matter of fact." Her heart had completely ignored all attempts at flirting and the attention she'd gotten over the years from various suitors. Her aunt’s rejection had cut her quickly, but Lea still longed to hear her smooth yet sultry voice.
"Cool. Cool."
"Thank you," Lea said, "Why don't we go to Wendy's? I’ve been craving a sour cream baked potato for days now."
"Sure. And, it’s my treat by the way," Luka said and laughed when Lea suspiciously glanced his way. "What?"
"Nothing."

To say she was exhausted would be an understatement. Lea lazily pressed the controller buttons, her actions a big contrast to her brother's energetic ones.
"Yes! I won again!" Liam yelled triumphantly whilst pumping his fists in the air. "Lea, you really suck for someone your age."
Lea scowled at her brother's remark, "No. I don't. I simply let you win, Liam."
She was no stranger to Mario Kart. Lea thrived in the game, with it having been her favorite whilst growing up. She could race with her eyes close and still beat Liam, but tonight, Lea wasn't up to squaring it out with her little brother at the game. She was beat, and her mind laden with thoughts that refused to let up.
"I'm just really tired," Lea explained as she slumped lazily on the sofa. She shifted to a comfortable position, raised her feet off the ground and rested them on her brother's lap. Liam objected, but after a while resigned himself to his fate and lazily played by himself.
Tonight, their supper had been a quick affair with her parents rushing off afterwards. Their giggles, lingering touches and quick kisses left little to imagination about what they had rushed up to their rooms to do. What amazed her was her mother Lenora's show of love for them, despite not eating, she always made it a point to join them. Her plate was ever present at the table, with food always, which she at times took bits and pieces from.
"Lea?"
"Mm hmm?"
"Are you alright?"
"Why do you ask, Liam?"
"I had Mom and Ma talking about you. They are worried?"
"Worried. About what buddy?"
Liam shrugged, oblivious of the matter their parents were discussing in the kitchen in hushed tones. "You, I guess."
"I'm fine," Lea answered, smiling at her brother. He looked worried too. "School can be hard. Don't grow up, okay?"
"I wish," Liam groaned at his sister's remark about not growing up. He imagined how good it would feel if he could always play games, watch movies, go to the zoo and never get to worry about ‘school work’ like his sister. "Why do we even have to grow up? It sucks. School really sucks at times."
Lea laughed, completely humored by her brother's dramatic words. "It sucks right. But you know what would suck most, Liam? You staying a midget for the rest of your life."
"I'm not a midget," he retorted, feeling insulted by his sister. Liam tried pushing her feet off but couldn't with Lea pinning him down by the thighs. "Get off! Your feet stink, Lea!"
"No. They don't," Lea countered and playfully lifted one foot up to her squirming brother's face.
'No! No! It stinks," Liam hollered as he tried pushing his sister’s foot away. "Ma! Ma! Mom! Mommy!"
At the sound of her brother yelling their parents’ names, Lea ceased her assault and gently kicked Liam off the couch. Whatever her parents were up to in their bedroom, it would be horrible to have them rushing down to her brother's aid.
"You suck!" Liam murmured and slapped her feet on the heels. "And your feet stink too, Lea."
Lea stirred to sit up and Liam shrieked excitedly at the idea of a chase. But, she didn't have the energy to pursue her little brother around the manor and still not catch him in the end. "Come on," Lea said to her brother. She patted the space next to her on the couch motioning him to sit down. "Movie? We can watch your favorite."
"Really? We'll watch it till the end and...,"
"No," Lea halted her brother before he got the wrong idea. "We'll watch till your bedtime, Liam. Bedtime." Allowing her brother to stay up late, and on a school night, would only warrant a tongue lashing from both her mothers and that wasn’t something Lea was looking forward to.
"You definitely suck now," Liam murmured to himself and took the television remote and switched it from gaming mode and on to Netflix.
"How about I ask Trina to make us some popcorn? Will that make me suck less?"
"Yes," Liam yelled with delight, quickly taking over his cute features. "With cheddar and cheese. Please?"
"Definitely buddy. Why don't you choose something while I go get us some popcorn," Lea said, pushing off the couch. Her spirits and a smile arose at her little brother's elated chatter as he droned on describing a movie he’d heard about from a friend at school. Entering the kitchen, Lea found it deserted and spotless as usual. The staff had to have retired for the evening after finishing up their chores for the day. Not wanting to disturb their nanny, Lea moved about the kitchen and quickly made Liam's favorite popcorn. The snack finished microwaving just as Liam started yelling out to her.
“Coming!” Lea called back and popped a handful of popcorn in her mouth
