Mallory sat the basket on the edge of the table. “We’re waiting for Ryan to pack up camp and Brodie to finish cooking a rabbit stew for lunch.” Danae gestured towards her satchel. “I brought food.” “We’ll be gone overnight. That doesn’t look like you have enough food to last that long.” Callum held out the bow and half a dozen arrows. “Stick beside me when we’re fighting so you can grab more arrows. We don’t have a spare quiver.” Danae glanced at her satchel. “Beef and vegetable pasties mightn’t be overly large, but they’re filling.” She took the bow and arrows. “I’ve got a bit of gold from helping my father in his shop.
