ALEXANDER I stared at Rubby as she made to talk, ready to chip in something if the need arose. But before she could form a single word, Nolan quickly cut her short. "Mom, Dad," he began, sounding hurt. "Don't be upset with Rubby; I think she's only been confused lately; the whole wedding plans are so overwhelming; it's my fault for putting so much pressure on her."
